Announcement   Hand made New Zealand Art Jewelry. Each piece is a unique creation, designed & crafted here in NZ by us, Jackie & Rolf. We have been carving & creating together for over 25 years. Our creations are influenced by the sacred Maori & Celtic symbolisms and our love for the NZ flora & fauna that we live amongst. Bone has a wonderful natural energy & is a very eco friendly material with a spiritual essence.
Each carving is an individual art piece that incorporates symbols from nature & mythology. They come with our own hand written card signed for authenticity.

We have developed our own range of natural stains from wild plants to bring out the beauty in the bone. Unbleached to show the natural beauty of flecks & grain in the bone and polished by hand to ensure a high finish, we don't use lacquers or resins. So they are safe for you & the planet.

We take close up photos to show the fine detail, so please be aware that this may give the impression that they are larger than they really are. We include accurate measurements on each listing to give you their true size.
You are buying the actual photographed piece.

About

A way of life

Everything here in our shop has been hand crafted by us.
Our designs come from our love of natural forms and the Maori & Celtic designs that surround us here in New Zealand. We both carve and each piece is a collaboration between the two of us from the first idea to the finished article. Our techniques are mostly self taught or we learn from each other and Rolf's practical skills help to add structure to my sometimes unpractical ideas!. Our bone comes from sustainable NZ farms near where we live. The cattle live in large grassy fields in a natural environment.
We live in the South Island of New Zealand amongst beautiful Mountains, forests and lakes. Living close to nature inspires us every day & just always wanting to try something new or discover a new material or technique is the wonderful thing about working with jewellery.
Our small workshop is usually cluttered with too many projects on the go and in my case many still unfinished! Sometimes a piece will sit unfinished until I can finally see it's true potential and bring it to life.
Many thanks to all our customers who give us the chance to explore our passion and live our lives in a sustainable & nourishing way.

My aim is to create authentic handmade jewellery using natural, organic, non toxic materials. Each piece being unique from another. Something that is worn and becomes apart of you so that when you pass it on a piece of your spirit lives on within it. Something that has come from the Earth, has been gathered sustainably and will return to the Earth. Something that has meaning based on stories of mythology & sacred designs from nature.
