That stuff is paper?!?

I've been experimenting in my studio with paper and resin for more than ten years. I finally decided to make the more affordable wearable pieces available online...

Hello and welcome to my Etsy Shop!

As an artist, I make a wide range of work, from affordable and wearable jewelry, to large scale art installations. Most of my work includes a material I developed called "Thurmanite." It is a composite of layers of paper (recycled whenever possible) and resin--it is a lot like wood and can worn and taken care of in a similar way.

In the studio, I usually have one assistant working with me. The assistant is typically a current student from University of North Texas, where I am a faculty member, and working with me as part of our Apprenticeship program.

In addition to help in the studio, I have another freelance assistant, Lyndsey Rieple, who helps me out with sales and promotion. She is an alumna from University of North Texas, and a former Apprentice of mine. She also makes great jewelry so be sure to check out her Etsy shop too! LyndseyRiepleJewelry

I hope you enjoy the work and please contact me with any questions or comments!
