Thank you for your understanding, If you would like to see my art in person, I will be set up at Fulton Market Days in Fulton, Texas. A beautiful, waterfront venue close to Rockport, Texas.

We love our Lazy Susan. I have already had 2 friends ask me where I bought it. The piece is made so well and the colors are gorgeous. Thank you for the quick delivery. The packaging was perfect and creative.

I ordered this from Janet as a surprise for my husband to place on the wall in our master bedroom. Janet was great to work with and she ensured that I got just the right colors I wanted. It arrived in a timely manner and it looks fantastic on the wall. I'd definitely order from Janet in the future and highly recommend purchasing some of her items if you're looking for a great beachy-type item to add to your house.

Janet was extremely responsive and sent me a lazy susan with the perfect colors for my breakfast room. It looks wonderful on my new table. I'd order from Janet again.

The turn table was more awesome in person than the photo. The artist went out of her way to make this special gift arrive on time. I would highly recommend her work and work ethics I will definetly order again

After years of fighting off bugs, dust, fuzz and dog hair, I built a box with a screen on top.

About

Happy Art Helps to Make a Happy Home!

Hi Everyone, and welcome to my little shop on Etsy. My name is Janet DIneen, and what you see here is a big part of my world.
I work from my home studio in Aransas Pass. Texas where we live in a tiny house, well... not the extreme tiny house, but it is pretty small; only 520 square feet. I live with my husband Mike, and our very happy 11 year old Terrier mix named Auggie. Aransas Pass is just a few miles and a ferry ride away from Port Aransas, one of the most popular beach destinations in Texas. We are parents to three grown kids and three grand kiddos. All the kids live in Austin.

I have always been creative, and have taken tons of art classes throughout the years. The way I got into the wood cutting part of my art was my training as a trim carpenter. Back in 1997, I was working at a resort in the food and beverage department. I had been there for about fifteen years, and I was feeling like I needed a change. I had some guy friends that were carpenters, and I asked them if I could work for them. When I finally got the nerve to quit my real job, I went to work as a trim carpenter. They taught me how to use power tools and I totally loved it. I would bring home scrap wood and make things. It was a whole new world with all kinds of possibilities. I worked with them for about ten years, until I moved from Austin to the coast. I am so grateful that I had that opportunity.

Although I do a lot of my work outside, I always need to do the epoxy step of my Lazy Susan's inside. This is because of flying insects, especially mosquito's. They can get pretty ferocious around here! My husband Mike recently built a little 10 x 12 studio, right across from our kitchen door to help keep some of the mess out the house. I am so happy with my little art cave! This is now where most of my creating happens.

If you live nearby, or you are visiting the Texas Coastal Bend, and you would like to stop by, just convo me and I will send you my number. If you are out and about, you can find my work in Port Aransas at "The Art Center" on Allister, in Aransas Pass at "The Rialto Theater'" in downtown Aransas Pass, and In Corpus Christi at "The Treehouse Art Collective" on Waterstreet near the Surf Museum.

I hope you enjoy my work. Custom orders are always welcome, no matter how strange you might think they sound. I like a good challenge!
I will sign off with a couple of requests, things that are important to me. Please spay or neuter your pets, and try to recycle all that you can. Thank you for your visit. Janet DIneen

Frequently asked questions

Sizing details

Yes, I can cut the Lazy Susan's smaller or larger. I don't like to go over 24" when using the 2 part epoxy. I will make them bigger if you want only a varnish finish.

Custom and personalized orders

Yes, custom orders are my specialty. Contact me with your ideas, and we will go from there.
