Note from shop owner Tough decisions ... the day job is keeping me very busy in the 'real world'. In the world of FUN custom orders and shows keep me in constant motion. Now add in a few more challenges and we come up with one HOT MESS ... ME! We are in the process of buying/selling a place called home. Geeze ... Louise it makes me tired just to think of it all. But a busy life filled with many blessings is a good thing.

In an effort to keep my sanity, I had to limit the many directions my little brain was going. Having said all that ... Janet's Fun Jewels will be off the grid for a few months. I'm hoping we will be settled in our new home by the end of summer. With a dedicated 'studio' I'll be able to work more efficiently and keep everything organized.

Until I have the shop back up and running feel free to send messages my way. All conversations are welcome ... custom orders, old friends, loyal customers anyone who just wants to say "hi". Of course the FaceBook page is always open - posts are limited but I will always answer questions and reply to our comments.

Come on over and see if you can find some gems you like ... then we can bring your ideas to life together. Here is the link ... come visit : ) https://www.etsy.com/shop/AGemsJourney

Thanks for your visit,
Janet

Very beautiful and just what I was looking for. I just love labradorite and wanted a flashy anklet. This was perfect! Very well crafted, by a sweet person who cares for her customers. I love the wrapped presentation, and fast shipping. Thank you! I will recommend you to others and will be sure to buy again. =0)

About

Everything Happens for a Reason

How jewelry crafting came to be such a big part of my life … A blessing in disguise – my daughter’s wedding was cancelled 3 months before the walk down the isle. What was a very traumatic time for all parties involved ended up being the best for everyone later. This is just one more for the theory of “Everything happens for a reason”!

Since I have been a ‘crafty’ person all my life – I used those skills to make everything I possibly could for the wedding. All the supplies were purchased and prototypes were made. Then the news came – so off I go to return massive amounts of stuff to the local craft stores. Return policies being as they are, mixed with the fact that we had been shopping for more than 6 months meant gift cards with lots of $$$. At this point I decided everyone I have ever known, every one who was to receive a gift from me for the rest of my natural life (and quite possibly thereafter too) would in fact get something from the craft stores. The next thing I know people are coming into my office daily to see what the latest creation is. Those simple little gifts of friendship have turned into something I truly love to do.

Janet’s Fun Jewels expanded to the Etsy site at the urging of loyal customers from local shows. Craft shows tend to be seasonal and I had multiple requests for more options to see the newest creations. So here I am – finding my way around in cyber space! It’s a journey and time will tell where we end up! I expect lots of fun in this journey!

Thanks for taking the time to read all of this and I hope you will visit often ~ I look forward to every new heart that finds a way into my shop!

I love my children and grand children beyond measure. My husband was an answered prayer. My passion for creating jewels was a happy accident. I'm a night owl by nature, but work forces me to be an early bird! Life is what we make it ... so : )

Shop policies

Last updated on July 28, 2013
For 19 years I have worked for a major retailer which takes the utmost pride in customer service. I’ve learned a great deal from this philosophy and carry that into my craft. Please know you can shop with the confidence that I will back my gems completely. If you are not happy with your purchase, I would appreciate the opportunity to work with you in order to rectify what ever does not meet your satisfaction. My goal would be to make sure we are both happy with your purchase and the results.

Payment
Pay pal only. If you are paying with a credit card or through PayPal, click Pay Now. You will be taken to PayPal to complete the purchase. Note that you do not need a PayPal account to pay with PayPal, you can pay with just a credit card if you wish. After payment, you will be redirected back to Etsy automatically.

Direct Check Out through Etsy is another option for paying with a credit card! Etsy direct is also the method you would use to redeem
Etsy Gift Cards.

E-checks: orders will be shipped within 24 hours after notification from PayPal that the transaction is complete. If your purchase is time sensitive ... please contact me before paying with e-check!
Shipping
Etsy is used to generate all shipping labels. Please be sure to verify the destination address is current in Etsy as this is where the package will be shipped. If you require a different shipping address ... You MUST send a convo to alert me to any changes.

All orders are shipped in a white 'puffed pillow' cardboard gift box and tied with a satin ribbon and shipped in a bubble lined shipping envelope via USPS. Please let me know if you need more than the box used for shipping. Again, I try to be fair but do try to manage expenses accordingly. Your jewels will generally be shipped within 24 business hours after receipt of payment. If for any reason I am unable to make the 24 hour window for shipping I will contact you and we will discuss the options. (As you can see I have no problems communicating!)

International shipping may also be subject to duty / taxes or fees determined by the destination. The applicable fees are the buyers responsibility and unfortunately I am not an expert on the regulations therefore I can not be responsible for quoting the regulations. This link may help with details of what to expect. http://www.etsy.com/blog/en/2010/shipping-how-to-custom-forms-duties-and-taxes/ As of year end 2012 I have shipped to 13 different international destinations without any issues or additional fees.
Refunds and Exchanges
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase please contact me within seven business days after you have received your jewels and I will offer a full refund for the merchandise. My ultimate goal is to make you, the customer happy. If you are unsatisfied with anything please don’t hesitate to contact me as I would appreciate the opportunity to work with you in order to rectify the situation the best way possible for both of us. Any refunds will be applied to the method of payment in which it was received and will be applied the same day the merchandise is received back to Janet's Fun Jewels.
