One of a Kind Jewelry and Hand Embroidery
My sister and I love old things which connect us to the past. We both need a creative outlet and have taught ourselves several crafts.
Making jewelry lets me combine the artistic streak I inherited from my mother (a musician/teacher) with the mechanical skills I inherited from my father (an engineer). Chainmaille has offered me a new challenge, and I've only scratched the surface of this centuries old craft.
My sister has brought her beautiful, hand-embroidered designs to our shop. As an artist, being able to create is very important to her. She finds hand work to be very soothing and deeply satisfying, as it allows her to use many different fabrics, threads, beads and techniques. She designs timeless motifs and works with care and commitment.

I have my roots deeply planted -- seven generations back -- in the mountains of Virginia where there is a living, lively crafting tradition. Like my maternal grandmother, I rarely sit with idle hands. Like my mother, I need a creative outlet.
Creator, Designer, Owner
I've recently returned to my artistic roots and my love of fine hand sewing and hand embroidery. I look to the past for inspiration and create timeless designs. I prefer natural fibers and work in cotton, linen, silk and wool.
My sister loves doing handwork. She enjoys the creative outlet which embroidery gives her. She works with carefully chosen materials and uses historical motifs for inspiration.

U.S. -- I ship using a flat-rate USPS Priority Mail box. You only pay shipping once for your order. It doesn't cost me one extra cent to put more than one item in that box, so it doesn't cost you anything extra either. I will also track the package from the USPS website so that I know when it has arrived at its new home.
Canada and Europe -- I ship using First Class Parcel Post. I will notify you when your item is shipped. The United States Postal Service now includes tracking for international orders. Remember that a package may be held up by customs, so please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. You are responsible for all taxes, tariffs and/or duties.
I do insure all my packages.

Additional policies and FAQs
I often use all available beads or charms in a piece. However, if I do have extra beads and such, I will send some along with your order at no extra cost to you.
My sister will make repairs on her embroidered items provided that the base fabric is not torn. If the fabric is torn, there's no way to satisfactorily repair it. She does ask a reasonable charge for her time.
In an effort to tread lightly on the planet, I do reuse padding or padded envelopes which are still in good condition. Be assured that anything I reuse will be clean and neat.
