Janvier Road was a magical place.

As a young city kid, I looked forward to visiting my family's rural bungalow every summer. My days were spent roaming through the 12 wooded acres, observing nature and acting out all sorts of fabulous dramas.

But it was the bungalow itself that was magical, filled with second-hand furnishings that we all took for granted. An Ingraham mantle clock chimed the long summer hours. American brilliant cut-glass bowls were for potato salad. Etched Victorian tumblers were filled with sweet well water for a midnight sip. We slept in ancient brass beds and stored our clothing in Stickley oak dressers.

When my grandfather passed away, we eventually closed the bungalow and sold the land. But my brother rescued many of the items we had used there.

The memories lived on long after the bungalow was gone. I thank my mother, who taught me what she knew about antiques, and encouraged me to treasure them as old family friends.

Today, Janvier Road is still rural, and I love to drive its length as I run errands. A modern ranch house now sits where the bungalow once was, and a machine shop has replaced old Mr. Venditti's farm across the road.

But the antiques are still here. And they all have impeccable provenance - they've been in the same family since at least the 1950s!

I'm holding on to the ones that still remind me of those wonderful summers on Janvier Road. But I'm also ready to share some of the other marvelous vintage items with people who, like me, appreciate the stories that come only with things of a certain age.

My love of vintage and antique items began at my family's summer bungalow on Janvier Road in Williamstown, NJ. It was filled with old and beautiful things, many of which I still enjoy to this day.

They've been loved and well-used for many generations.

I make every effort to describe each item in great detail, including flaws, and provide photos showing as many angles and flaws as possible.

I've also done a lot of research to ensure that prices are fair, given the age, rarity and condition of each item.

I don't polish or repair anything unless I am absolutely confident that my efforts won't devalue the item. Some buyers prefer antiques flaws and all, or they have the necessary expertise to restore them.
I try to ship the same day that I received the order, but occasionally I have to wait 'til the next day.

All glass items are wrapped according to best practices, and double-boxed for maximum padding. This adds only an ounce or two to the shipping rate, but is worth any extra pennies.

I typically mail very small non-fragile items First Class in padded envelopes to save money. If you prefer a box, please let me know.

FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost, and are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing.

The United States Post Office now includes insurance with Priority Mail items. Should an item arrive broken, please let me know - save the packaging and take photos, which you'll need in order to file a claim.
