Really big backstory to this little doll. Needless to say he went astray but many thanks to Mike for persevering in tracking him down and sending him on to me. Almost gave up hope but he is home with all my other dolls and looks great. The only downside was the length of time from buying to receiving otherwise A1 service and communication. This little lady Kokeshi is a beautiful example of this Japanese art form. Around her mid section part of the raw wood, in its natural state, remains. The remainder of her body and head is shiny and painted creatively and colorfully. I am most satisfied with this wonderful Etsy shop and shopkeeper!

I am reluctant to type this message but it has been 2 months since my order and my doll still has not arrived Initially I failed to supply a contact number but since doing so I have had no joy. I try to support as many shops that their products are to my taste but I fear I will have to limit my shopping to local Australian sellers only now. Twice bitten (as I have had this occur before) definitely shy. Feeling a little sad. K

The kokeshi is lovely and exactly as pictured. She arrived quickly and was very securely packaged.

The kokeshi are wonderful, they’re so delightfully different from what I’m used to seeing. They’re delicate and have a great use of the wood grain into the design.
