This is a very good book, both for beginners and advanced temari makers. The text is clear and understandable and is accompanied by lots of images and photo's. Making of the core, stitches, designs and patterns are all very well explained, again both basic and advanced. And in the end there is lots of inspiration to 'go your own way' in designing your personal ball. I live in the Netherlands, the book was shipped from Raleigh NC and it arrived quickly and well packed. This book has brought me better technique and understanding of temari making and embroidery and, what is at least as important: a lot of stitching-fun! I full heartedly recommend this book to anyone who is interested to know more about temari making. Marianne Kalkman; Ede: Netherlands.
Fiber art in the round
“He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.”
― St. Francis of Assisi
Temari touch my heart. I feel the sphere's symbolism of perfection and completion with every one that I make or pattern that I write. It's my pleasure to be able to share my passion.
