It's all part of the resistance - women drink whiskey too. Very cool - and large enough to hold our King Cube ice cubes.

Love the way it fits in my hand, the message, the cause, and that it's dishwasher and microwave safe!

About

The ever evolving life hobby

I started selling pots about 10 years ago. I had a kick wheel and a kiln on my husbands farm in the old hop barn. I called it Hop House Pottery and I took my work anywhere that would take it. I was driving all over the state to different galleries, juried shows, and craft shops. I loved this part of it as well, meeting people who were passionate about their space, the work they chose to exhibit there. I learned a lot about what was important to me as a craftsperson, and mostly that is just to be able to continue making things I love. After I had children, my time changed. I could no longer spend the whole day driving around, delivering pots and chatting with art lovers. My day's are consumed with motherhood. I spend all day with my 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter, and at night, when they are asleep, I work in my basement studio throwing pots and taking orders. This too I love. I love that I get to be the kind of mom I want to be while still keeping my hands in something I do just for myself. I started a line with Beekman 1802 in 20014 and that has proved tremendously satisfying. In 20016, a friend and I started a new kitchen goods shop called Jane and William Home. Between these two lines, I am very busy and loving how new experiences influence new ideas. The dynamics of my time and interests will change, and so too will my work. But I will always be a potter. And that makes me happy.

I have been working with clay for 12 years now, 9 as a full time potter. I just love making simple, sometimes functional things to enhance one's surroundings. There is supreme beauty in the everyday.
