Java the Hoot comenzó cuando comencé a dar tarjetas hechas a mano a mis seres queridos en lugar de comprar las producidas en masa en la tienda. Siempre me ha encantado hacer manualidades hechas a mano para otros y poder darle a esa persona algo que hice; algo que es único para ellos. Después de un tiempo, decidí comenzar a dibujar diferentes personajes para tarjetas de felicitación y ver a dónde iría eso.
El nombre surgió como una especie de trifecta cuando combiné mi amor por el café, los búhos y Star Wars, eventualmente creando Java the Hoot. Todas las ilustraciones son mis diseños originales extraídos de fotografías inspiradoras, u objetos, con mi colección de bolígrafos de tinta India.
Java the Hoot began when I started to give handmade cards to my loved ones instead of purchasing mass-produced ones from the store. I have always loved making handmade crafts for others and being able to give that person something that I made; something that is unique for them. After awhile, I decided to start drawing different characters for greeting cards and see where that would go.
The name came about as a trifecta of sorts when I combined my love for coffee, owls, and Star Wars, eventually creating Java the Hoot. All illustrations are my original designs drawn from inspiring photographs, or objects, with my collection of India Ink Pens.
