We recently received our custom 48" Ojo, and it is so beautiful. We feel very lucky to have it grace our home. (I'd like to add a photo of it here, but I at least wanted to get a review posted before the time passes to do so). Thank you so very much...

weaving, teaching, and promoting yarn mandalas
We have apprenticed with Jay Mohler who has honed the craft of weaving with yarn and dowels to a highly regarded art form.
Our vision is to give this art form visibility in the community where we live in Asheville, North Carolina and around the world. Our goal is to keep Jay's work alive by continuing to create his most popular pieces for those who would love to have their own as well as expressing our own individual creativity.
Our work is currently for sale on Etsy and in shops around Asheville, North Carolina.
We each have our own style and unique voice in this work. We are committed to the highest quality work and guarantee it 100%. We work meticulously to create art that will last a lifetime.
About Founder, Jay Mohler:
Jay was fortunate to be a part of the 1970's great popularity of this folk art in our American Southwest, when he lived in New Mexico, and sold a great many 8 sided Ojos de Dios to tourist shops and art galleries. The craze ended, and he moved on to sign painting for twenty years, but in 1999 he once again took up weaving yarn mandalas, and had a very satisfying time selling online. He has also taught and inspired many others to start weaving, through both facebook and the etsy shop.
1960's idealist, art student, dropout and wandering hippie, settled into New Mexico and weaving mandalas in the 1970's. I returned to the art in 1999 after a break of 20 years to paint signs and raise a family that produced 4 boys, now all grown up.
Samantha (Sami) Herbert
Sami has traveled all over the world collecting fiber and transforming it into hand crafted art. Her favorite thing is to watch the mandala grow, like oneself, into something complex and vibrant.
Elizabeth Tingley is a native of Athens, Georgia. She has been working with fiber arts (knitting, crocheting, sewing, and tatting) for over 15 years. Recently returned from teaching in China, she now lives with her husband and son in Asheville.
Inga is in love with fiber arts. As an apprentice with Jay Mohler her love for weaving with intention grew. She enjoys creating intricate woven designs like Tibetan, Celtic knots and Fairytale mandalas. She loves to delight herself with new designs!
Janelle loves the feeling of spinning the dowels and wrapping yarn as the mandala unfolds before her. Colors and textures are her biggest inspiration. She is endlessly fascinated with how beautiful colors can be and how they change depending on the
