This is gorgeous yarn. I think it will become some wonderful arm warmers and a matching hat.

I'll be sorry when I come to the end of this beautiful cotton. It has a very nice hand feel. As the listing stated, the yarns were carefully stored so as to avoid "odd smells" and fading. Thank you for some great supplies!

I got this wool hat in just a few days. It has a clean neutral look. It fits my man head nicely. That is hard to find. The wool is soft and warm. Very well made.

About

Simple knits for complicated lives

I believe I was born crafting, which is not surprising considering my gene pool. Both my grandparents were artists, my mom could draw, sew or knit anything you asked her to & my dad practically made everything he owned, including clothes, weaponry & electronics. I did not inherit the ability to draw or build electronics. I did, however, inherit the love all fiber related crafts. Today, I occasionally take breaks from my obsessive knitting to cross stitch, quilt, scrapbook or sew beads onto something. But mostly, I knit.

My Etsy shop, Jeannie Gray Knits, came about mainly due to my love of knitting shawls. Once my personal stash of hand knit shawls outgrew my closet, I had to admit to myself it was time to find an outlet for them. A friend mentioned Etsy and the rest is history.

Today, depending on the weather, you can find me knitting on the beach, the porch, or beside the fire. Occasionally, you may find me cursing my camera. Apparently, I didn't inherit the skilled photographer gene either. You can also find me many different places around the web. Drop in sometime and say hello. I did inherit the gift of gab & would love to chat a while.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

Requests for custom or personalized orders are always welcome. I can not guarantee that I will be able to fulfill your request, but the request itself is always welcome.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Sadly, I am not at all talented in the gift wrapping department. I will, however, be happy to include a hand written note card with your purchase. Just use the "Note to Seller" area of the order form to let me know exactly what you'd like the card to say.

Shipping time frames

Most of the time, I will ship your item on the same or one day after payment has been received. I always ship by the third business day and if something unforeseen happens & I can't ship by the third day, I will let you know & offer the option of canceling & refunding the order.

Once I hand your package over to the postal system, I have no control over how long it will take to arrive. Generally, packages going to locations in the US arrive in 2 - 5 business days. International packages usually take 1 to 6 weeks, depending on location & customs.

Shipping costs & refunds

While the cost of shipping does include a small amount to cover packing materials, it is never my intention to profit from shipping costs. If I accidently over charge you for shipping by $2.00 or more, I will refund the over payment.

For returned items, original shipping costs may or may not be refunded, depending on the reason for returning the item.

Canceling an order

You may cancel your order at any time up until the time I hand it over to the postal system. As long as I still have your package in my possession, I will cancel & refund your order within 48 hours. Please note that it may take several days longer for your financial institute to credit your account.

If you wish to cancel an order after it has been shipped, please contact me to discuss.

Custom or specialized orders are non-refundable and may not be canceled once payment has been made.
