Joshua Beresford ist ein britischer Künstler, der in Leeds, West Yorkshire, lebt und arbeitet. Joshua arbeitet hauptsächlich mit Mixed-Media-Gemälden und Collagen. Josh schloss sein Studium an der Leeds School of Arts und der Leeds Beckett University in Fine Art mit First Class Honours ab.
Seine Gemälde erforschen Natur, Geologie, Landschaftsformationen, alte Gesellschaften, landwirtschaftliche Flächen und die Muster in der natürlichen Welt. Aufgewachsen in einem kleinen Weiler in der Nähe von Skipton, North Yorkshire, beeinflussen und inspirieren die wehenden Hügel und das Ackerland alle seine Gemälde stark.
Joshuas Collage-Arbeit erforscht die Antike sowie unsere Beziehung zur Natur, zur zeitgenössischen Mode und zu historischen Artefakten. Seine Collage-Arbeit verwendet recyceltes Material, das in lokalen Spitzen und Wohltätigkeitsläden gefunden wurde, sowie Materialien, die direkt an ihn gespendet wurden.
Joshua Beresford is a British artist living and working in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Joshua works mainly with mixed media paintings and collage. Josh graduated with a First Class Honours Degree at Leeds School of Arts, Leeds Beckett University in Fine Art.
His paintings explore nature, geology, landscape formations, ancient societies, agricultural lands and the patterns found within the natural world. Growing up in a small hamlet near Skipton, North Yorkshire, the waving hills and farmland heavily influences and inspires all of his paintings.
Joshua’s collage work explores antiquity, as well as our relationship with nature, contemporary fashion and historic artefacts. His collage work uses recycled material found at local tips and charity shops, as well as materials donated directly to him.
