A Beautiful Place to be

I live in a beautiful area of the Pacific Northwest called Lake Quinault. I grew up here and have always loved how gorgeous it is. We live right near the lake, the mountains, rainforest trails, and the ocean.

For years I have enjoyed having a garden. My mother loved gardening and she passed along the love to me. As things bloomed I would grab my camera and get a picture of how beautiful it was.

As the picture collection grew, I began putting them all in a slide show/screen saver on the computer. Friends and family would sit and watch the parade of flower pictures go by on the computer screen and would comment on how beautiful they were and that I should do something with them. I made calendars for a couple years and then really got into the idea of doing the note cards and selling them at a local gift shop.

Its been fun discovering places and things that I want pictures of, and sharing them with people who enjoy seeing it.

As I continue taking pictures, my love for the area becomes greater; sharing it with others makes it even better.
