Odd spirits and pocket watches

How does it start? You make things and suddenly you realize your passion is to do this all the time. I've had museum and gallery shows of my work, but when someone told me about Etsy, I was really intrigued. When I looked at the site I thought it was simply wonderful to find so many people doing and creating, and I wanted to be part of it in the worst way. I mean that in a good way :)

I'm a graphic artist/designer and found setting up an Etsy store was easier than I anticipated. But what I really love is the community of artists and craftspeople here. I had gotten away form the art world after 9/11, which I was very involved with. It took me a long time to be able to go back in my studio and work again- Etsy was like an oasis for the soul. I'm thrilled to be here.

Been an artist all my life. Originally a soft sculptor/quilter, now I still sew, but with wire and antique watch parts. I'm never sure what a piece will end up as, the parts just seem to walk into my hands and put themselves together.
