Jess & Co. (the big umbrella) has been in business since early 2017 and has evolved to include 3 seperate areas of interest:
1. JessDesigned: This is a graphic design and printables or POD product line. I am skilled in artistry such as graphics and photography so I apply that to my other passions of usable printables and practical wearables and decor.
2. JessMADE: all things handmade, typically utilizing other art from JessDesigned or products from the Beauchamp Family Farm (BFF for short).
3. Beauchamp Family Farm: Often referred to as BFF for short. This was started in early 2021 when we moved from Michigan to East Tennessee. It's a work in a progress (really, what homestead isn't?) and in the process we are learning a lot and providing for both our family and community. We aim to be self-sustainable, zero-waste, and all-natural in everything we do.
More about JessMADE:
I am a skilled artisan with many years of practice in making a large variety of items. I simply love making things with a preference for fabrics and fibers. I also love resin work and metal features as well. I studied art for a year at an art school in college but later switched to earning a Bachelors degree in Entrepreneurship (something that also worked well when I met my now husband who was in the Air Force and is now a medically retired veteran). I went on to finish school with a Masters in Business Administration. Throughout that time I have always found solice in making and refining my skillset. I have worked as a professional seamstress at a bridal store and one thing I can tell you is that chiffon is beautiful but so very slippery when working with. :p
Over the years, life is continuing on and as stated before, we moved from Michigan to Tenneesee but prior to that we had moved from Montana to Michigan (with a toddler, 4 large dogs, and 4 cats) in an RV living that camper life for awhile - boy, what an adventure! I attempt to incorporate my everyday life (which is full of happy accidents and messy joy) into what I make. My family (the whole family - children, dogs, and birds too) are all a big part of what I make - whether it be inspiration or through their involvement. I love natural and bright - and that beauty will resonate through in what I make.
