About

Beautiful fashion forward jewelry that celebrates the treasures of our earth.

The journey that lead me to making jewelry was not a straight line, but in some ways it seems to me that everything I experienced in life was always leading me to where I am now. It's hard to say then where it started, I would say when I was born, because I come from a family of artists and makers on both sides. It's in the blood! I began drawing as soon as I could pick up a pencil, and would pack a sketch pad around with me as a kid. I always loved nature including bugs and all animals, I would sit and stare at the ground for hours observing the ants and their behaviors and pick plants apart and look at the pieces, I was a very shy, quiet child. My love for animals lead me to rescue several wild ones, and I ended up raising quite a variety of different wild animals including a raven who now serves as my shop logo.

Naturally I began painting and experimented with many mediums early on. The first piece of art I ever "sold" was a drawing in second grade to a classmate in exchange for candy. I also come from a family of artists who all sold their work at local craft shows, so the concept of selling my art was never a big deal. I fully expected that when I grew up this is how I would make a living one way or another. I never really felt drawn to a specific medium though until I learned to weld in high school, the metal just made my heart sing! I loved how it seemed eternal and how it could be changed again and again and never go away. I loved it's strength and beauty and versatility.

It wasn't until about 6 years later that I got back into working with metal. I felt that something very important was missing from my life, and I began to try to paint again, but the motivation wasn't there, it wasn't making me happy. I remembered how much I loved welding but that wasn't an option at the time since my husband and I lived in a small condo. It was then that I was introduced to something called metal clay by my mother, and it caused a spark in me to begin making jewelry as a sort of alternative to welding. I realized how much sense it made since I also love fashion and gemstones. Soon, it was all I could think about and I started to realize that it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I never felt so sure about anything, I was overwhelmed by a feeling of peace unlike anything I had ever felt. It was like that moment of putting in that last piece of the puzzle and admiring your work, I was finally home.

  • Other Method
Payment
I am now accepting both Paypal, and credit cards for payment.

Payment must be made within 1 day after purchase, (when you place the item in your cart). I reserve the right to cancel your order if I don't receive payment within one day. If for some reason you can't pay right away please contact me and let me know the situation.

Layaway is available for items over $100 on a case by case basis. Some items are not available for layaway or are only available on a short term payment schedule. I work with customers individually to come to work out a payment schedule that suits both of us. If you are interested in setting up layaway on an item just contact me and we will see if we can work something out.
Shipping
I am currently shipping worldwide, my standard method of shipping is usps first class mail. This goes for both domestic, and international orders under $200.

International shipments may be subject to import duties and tax levies once the shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance are the responsibility of the recipient; I do not control these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Please contact your local customs office for further information.
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns on all items except custom orders and wholesale orders are accepted if they are sent back to me within 30 days of purchase in new condition. I will refund or exchange items upon receiving the returned item. All refunds are issued through Paypal or refunded directly through the credit card used for the purchase. Customers are responsible for shipping charges when sending items back for a refund or exchange. Please read additional information about returning made to order items below.

If you are sending an item back to be returned, please make sure you purchase delivery confirmation or insurance to insure the items reaches me.

BANGLES: I offer made to order bangle bracelets in specific sizes, I am not making these in custom sizes at this time, the size range I offer is more than adequate for most people. If however your bangles still don't fit, you can return them for another size at the cost of shipping back and forth. You can also return them for a partial refund minus a 10% restocking fee. I encourage customers to find the correct size before ordering to avoid having to pay any extra fees.

RINGS: Most of my made to order rings can be exchanged for a different size. I am now charging an $8 resizing fee for this service, or $10 for a set of 2 or more rings within the U.S. This covers the resizing/remaking of the rings, and shipping back to you. INTERNATIONAL: An additional $6 will be added for orders placed outside the U.S. because of higher shipping costs.

RESTOCKING FEE: Returns for made to order rings because of sizing issues will be charged a 10% restocking fee. This simply comes out of your refund. This only applies to made to order rings. One of a kind rings can still be returned with no restocking fee.

I encourage customers to find out their ring size before ordering to avoid these fees. I now offer an adjustable ring sizer which can be shipped directly to your home and used to find your perfect size before buying here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/JessicaCoxJewelry?section_id=16952976&ref=shopsection_leftnav_5
Additional policies and FAQs
Insurance:
All items ordered from me are automatically fully insured. I do require that buyers sign a statement for the insurance company in the case of a lost package or damage during mailing. This may also require the buyer to take a photo of the damaged package/item along with the statement and send them to me before I will issue a refund. I do not wait for the insurance to process the claim before I will issue a refund, but I do require this signed document returned to me so that I might begin the claims process.
