WannaBe Full Time Jewelry Designer

Hi! I'm Pat. Bookkeeper by day, jewelry designer nights and weekends. I much prefer my nights and weekends. Due to age, I am approaching a time when I can work on my jewelry full-time. Never thought I would be wishing time would move faster and I would get older.

I mostly work with natural, handcut gemstone. I love working with it because of it's uniqueness. Unlike most glass beads, each piece is different with its own special character. My favorite is Opal with Aquamarine coming in second.

Opal intrigues me because of its vast array of color. It was a gamble when I first began with Opal due to the cost of the stone. Most of what I buy comes from the Gemstone cutters in India. When I get my Opal, I sort it by fire, color and size. I price my pieces based on the quality of the Opal in the piece.

But, I really just love all gemstone. I love shopping for it, touching it and working with it. I hope that love of gemstone comes across in the pieces I make.
