Got the earrings yesterday, wore them today! The color exactly matches the top I have on. They are beautiful and I love the wires, had not seen this kind before. Thank you!

The original package was lost, and the seller sent me a make up package! I originally owned a pair bought years ago and lost one during a night out. I am happy to be able to wear these earrings again.

About

The Healing Power of Happiness: Finding joy at the most unlikely of times and places!

--My Design Inspiration--

So much of my design comes from my love of the Southwest United States, a place closely tied to both Mexican and Native American Cultures, whose colorful heritage and traditions inhabit many of my designs.

I've always had this unexplained fascination with the West, the idea of heading into an unknown territory filled with vast landscapes of indescribable beauty. Being from Southern California, I have been fortunate to take several trips throughout Arizona and New Mexico, places that heavily influence my design aesthetic - How can the beauty of the sun setting over the Grand Canyon not stir intense artistic passion? Photos from these trips still greatly inspire me!

Why the name 'California Chic and Sexy'?

Every woman deserves to feel good about herself and should always be adorned in beauty, proud of her sexuality and confident in her style. California is my home, but it really is also a lifestyle, a merging of nature and modernity that is appealing and allusive at the same time. I like to believe that my jewelry will lend an air of sexy and chic to every woman who wears it!

--How I Started--

I started my business in January 2010 while attending Graduate School at Northwestern University in Chicago; in the midst of writing and teaching, and adjusting to an intelligent and extremely competitive environment, I suddenly became ill with an undiagnosable autoimmune disorder that for the first time in my life made me stop, sit down, and take a big deep breath, a difficult task for someone who is always a busy bee.

In order to distract myself from the stress of school and being ill, I took the advice of friends who had always loved my hand-crafted jewelry, and I opened an Etsy shop, starting a venture and realizing a dream that to this day I still cannot believe I have accomplished. I recently graduated with my MFA and I've now returned home to California, the source for much of my artistic inspiration! I really do hope that you enjoy browsing through my shop, and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!

I have a wonderful rescue Kitty named Oliver whom I found roaming the streets of LA over three years ago. Unfortunately he was almost immediately diagnosed with Lymphoma, but has been doing very well with his meds! I know what it's like to feel lost and helpless when your pet is diagnosed with a serious ailment, and searched the web for resources in the fight against this disease! Update: My baby Oliver passed away recently and finally succumbed to his Lymphoma. He was in remission for nearly 3 years, and was the best kitty friend I could have ever asked for. Please consider adopting your next pet from a shelter. Every pet deserves a loving home, and if you have the ability to rescue one who is set to be euthanized, all the better!

I'm also an AmeriCorps VISTA alumni (2 years served in LA!!!) and am always interested in ways with which art and education can help in the fight against poverty!

Shipping
PROCESSING TIME: I currently process orders on Saturdays and Sundays. I work Monday through Friday, 9am-7pm at my day job in a very demanding industry, so there isn't a whole lot of time for me to create my jewelry pieces during the week, and I want to give each order the time, attention, and perfection that it deserves. My current shipment times can be found in the shipping tab on each item's informational page. Please look at this tab to see the maximum processing and shipping times. If you need your package more quickly, please notify me before you purchase an item so that I can offer you other, faster, mailing options.

PACKAGING: Every item is enclosed in an organza sachet, then boxed and tied with a beautiful ribbon ready for gift-giving. I will box multiple items together for less packaging waste and a cheaper shipping rate. If you wish for each item to be wrapped separately for gift-giving, please leave me a message in the "message to seller" box during Etsy checkout.

All packages contain a note and other special offers; if your purchase is a gift and you would not like to include these, please leave me a message in the "message to seller" window during Etsy checkout. If your package is a gift and you would like to include a personalized note/gift tag, please also leave this message in the "message to seller" window during Etsy checkout!

DOMESTIC SHIPPING: I ship using USPS First Class Mail which usually takes somewhere between 3-10 business days for delivery, though it can take longer. Within the U.S. all jewelry items are shipped with tracking and delivery confirmation. Insurance is included free of charge for orders over $25.00.

EXPEDITED SHIPPING: Please contact me before placing an order if you are in need of expedited shipping. I offer USPS 2-3 day Priority and Next Day Express for an additional fee.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I am happy to ship your package Internationally; these rates can be found at the bottom of each item listing. I apologize, but First Class International Shipments cannot be covered by Insurance. Buyers are responsible for all customs charges that may apply upon receipt of their packages, so please be aware of your country's rules and regulations prior to placing an order. I apologize but I cannot mark an item as a gift on the custom's forms. International Orders cannot be returned or exchanged. In general, International Orders take several weeks to arrive at their destination. Please keep this time frame in mind when placing your order as I have no control over how long it takes for an international package to arrive via your country's postal system.

MULTIPLE ADDRESSES: If you are purchasing multiple items and need them shipped to various different addresses, please purchase each item separately. This will avoid confusion and make sure that each item is mailed to the correct address.

*All delivery times are estimates and are not exact. Once out of my hands and into the hands of the USPS, I cannot be held accountable for delivery delays. Please accept my sincerest promise that I will do everything to get your package to you in the time-frame agreed upon!
Refunds and Exchanges
More than anything, I want you to be happy with your new jewelry. However, if you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me within 3 business days from when you received your item and you can choose to receive either:

1. An immediate exchange of your jewelry for an item equal to the value of your return (minus shipping costs).

OR

2. A store credit for future use equal to the value of your return (minus shipping costs).

All returned items must be unworn/unused and wrapped in their original packaging.

All additional shipping charges will be the responsibility of the buyer. If not contacted after 3 business days from receipt, all sales are final.

Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges cannot be accepted for Custom Orders or International Orders.

PLEASE NOTE: All Earring Purchases are Final for hygienic purposes. This is for the health and safety of all customers.

REPAIRS:

If your jewelry is broken or damaged upon receipt, contact me within three days for an immediate exchange/repairs. If your jewelry is broken beyond this three day period, I will gladly repair it for free or at minimal cost depending on the severity of damage; all you will need to pay for is the shipping!

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any sorts of repairs for your jewelry, whether it's been a few days, a few months, or even a few years since you placed your order. I really want every customer to be happy with their jewelry, so if there is a problem with any of your items, I would be more than happy to repair them. With proper care, a piece of my jewelry is meant to last a lifetime, so anything less than that is unacceptable and I will make it right!

CUSTOM ORDERS: Custom orders are very welcome! Send me a message and we'll create a custom piece of jewelry specifically to your liking!

Please allow 1-2 weeks for your custom orders to be shipped. Custom items are non-returnable/non-refundable, so if I get super specific with questions about your order, it's only because I want you to get EXACTLY what you want!

WHOLESALE ORDERS: I am currently accepting Wholesale Orders! Please send me a convo or email to request a line-sheet/Wholesale Catalog.
