Announcement    Welcome and thank you for visiting my shop!

My interest in designing and handcrafting costume jewelry was initially sparked in December 2005 when I was helping my daughter create jewelry for her middle school teachers as Christmas gifts. I was inspired enough by that task to invest my time in learning the basic skills of jewelry making from books and internet resources. The tasks of selecting the beads, spacers and pendant (if applicable); putting together a design combination of color, texture, shape, and structure that is pleasing to the eye; and finally, the actual stringing of the beads and applying finishing touches are not just an outlet for my creative abilities, but have a therapeutic influence on me. The knowledge that my designs are appreciated and admired by my local and distant clientele -- that includes family, friends and neighbors encouraged me to turn my hobby -- an expensive one at that -- into a small business today.

With a full-time job as a researcher at Johns Hopkins, I do not often get to spend as much time as I wish I could on jewelry making. So please visit my shop often to see if there are any new pieces/sets that I have added to my inventory. Remember to bookmark my site and share it with your friends! Please read “Shop Policies” prior to completing your order.

I appreciate your interest in my jewelry designs. Please be kind when leaving feedback!

Returns and exchanges
If the buyer is not satisfied with the item, or if the item is flawed, please notify your intent to return the item within 3 days of confirmed delivery. If an item is returned without contacting me first, no refunds will be made. You then have 5 business days (from confirmed delivery) to mail the item back to me. All returns must be in the same type of packaging and in the same condition as it was received. I will not be responsible for damage incurred when the item was in your possession or during the shipping process.

Please note that when a refund is made, shipping charges will be deducted from the payment amount. Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
Payment
I accept Etsy direct checkout and Paypal.
Shipping
I ship within the U.S. only. Most items are shipped out in a small flat rate box by via USPS priority mail within 3 business days (except for weekends & holidays) after payment has cleared. Multiple items will be shipped in the same package unless the buyer requests delivery to multiple addresses, which would be billed separately. I am willing to ship priority but you must contact me prior to purchasing the item so a custom listing can be created. Additional fees will apply for shipping upgrades according to current rate of USPS. When your order is shipped, you will receive an Etsy Shipping Notification.

Please keep in mind that once a package leaves my hands I am no longer responsible for it. If it is damaged, lost, stolen or delayed, you must contact USPS. If you are concerned about the mail carrier leaving your package where it can be lost or stolen, I suggest purchasing signature confirmation (Contact me for additional rates). But note that this may delay the receipt of the package until your signature confirmation.

Caring for the jewelry

~Always store the jewelry in the plastic pouches they are mailed in to keep them free from dust, and humidity. Humidity will tarnish sterling silver and gold filled jewelry.

~Remove all jewelry before taking a shower, swimming, or exercising.
