Jewelry by Risto is a designer of unique, one of a kind jewelry.

My interest in the arts have always been with me through life, but the actual manifestation of them happened when I moved to California. My first studies of jewelry and lapidary were taken in Berkeley and Richmond and later in San Francisco where I reside today. I've been taught and inspired by some fellow jewelers along the way and my work is the fine tuning of my creative and design processes over many years of making jewelry in my work shop. I love working with metals and collected stones all over the world while traveling, visiting places and being inspired by their culture and expression of their arts. I like to use symbology and sacred geometry in my work to give it a deeper meaning with the use of a wide variety of stones I've collected along the way. My creative process involves by first choosing the stone or stones I want to work with and let them speak to me by creating the design around them that will enhance the power of the stones and bring them to a state of beauty and artistic value. I showed my work in a variety of shops and galleries through the years, but in 2013 I decided to quit my consignment based businesses and open a shop here on Etsy.
