Jewelsalem: Re-evoking Romance in our Modern World
WHAT JEWELSALEM MEANS:
The name Jewelsalem is inspired by Jerusalem, the place that is linked so closely to Jesus. Being a Christian, I want my shop and my brand to have a connection to God. When I embarked on this solo entrepreneurial journey as a crafts-business-woman, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. I prayed for a sign, and a worthy name for the brand I was about to establish. A name that would bring glory to the Lord, reflect my faith and empower me to navigate this stormy sea of commerce/design/art. "Jewelsalem" came to me as perhaps a whisper from God. I took this name and ran with it. My main mission is to unite something I had always loved with making a livelihood from it. I want to use my passion to benefit my customers. Everything I have today is given to me by God, and I give thanks to that.
My mother told me, since I was a child, I had gravitated towards floral design and anything that is vintage British or French. The first books I read were Enid Blyton, and in that nostalgic old world, I found myself wishing I exist. Then came Dickens, Louisa May Alcott, Edith Piaf, the list goes on. When you love something, it burns like a fire in your heart. Look at my designs and you will see what ignites my passion and creativity.
In my late teenage years I began a life long affair with dresses and jewelry. I was interested in vintage fashion. One all-time obsession of mine is the many quaint floral patterns so frequently seen in British designs, and that is where I draw so much inspiration from. Combining that with my love for travel and architecture, I try to capture colors and designs that have made an impression on me through applying them onto my work. Having spent much of my time living in Europe, I find myself constantly trying to balance the influences of the various cities and their effects on me. I feel the tapestry of my creative soul is an amalgam of Art Deco Paris and Victorian London mixed with the quirky, exotic dynamism of Barcelona and a dash of Viennese resplendence.
ARCHITECTS OF ROMANTIC FLORAL NOSTALGIA:
I have and will always be a romantic at heart, and I wish for my work to represent that. I aim to bring back romance and old world charm into our modern lives. The best way to carry a little nostalgia with us, is in jewelry and accessories. But looking around, most accessories seem to be similar, albeit trendy. I would often think of what Yves Saint Laurent said - fashion fades... style is eternal. I want to create jewelry and accessories that you, my customer, can wear with pride and hand down to your daughter.
This is even more true for the bridal pieces, which many brides have told me, they will pass down to their children and hope that remain in a part of the family history. It is no surprise that my favorite items are the floral hair accessories handmade and sold here in Jewelsalem. Being one of the pioneering shops to introduce affordable floral headpiece to the world, I am proud of my work and how far Jewelsalem has come along. I love making bridal hair combs, especially when the brides would contact me for custom designs. I'm grateful for their trust in me.. giving me the freedom to help create something beautiful and unique for them. It is an honor to be able to do that.
Be it for a wedding, an event, or just for yourself to wear daily, we welcome conversations to discuss each client's needs. And this is the best thing about Etsy - we can build relationships with our customers. Being able to communicate directly helps us bring better services to you, making sure we can take care of each client and address their individual needs. Here at Jewelsalem, we strive to constantly improve, and by listening to feedback and comments, that is how we can bring better service to all customers.
As we transit from the dainty floral world of vintage design, We are also trying our hands on modern jewelry and dabbling with fabrics.
This came about when we speak to customers - whenever they travel or dress for the summer weather; instead of floral designs, they often opt for chic, modern jewelry to complete the outfit. To accessorise in colder seasons, a simple necklace or a little pair of gemstone earrings never fail to add glamor to the winter wardrobe.
Also we have had requests for combining our love for vintage designs into apparels. The process is slow but we are experimenting.
We hope you can find something you love here. Something that takes your breath away.
Here is a big thank you to all customers, for trusting in Jewelsalem. Without you, there will not be us. God bless!
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Where is my package?
If your package has not been marked yet, then that is because item(s) are still being made.
If your package has been marked shipped then it is on its way to you. You should receive it in 10 - 18 business days generally. But if it has passed this time frame, do convo us to check on the status. If there is tracking for your order, I will be able to advise on the status of the order. Not all orders have tracking. We try to use the most efficient and quickest method to ship to you.
It has been two weeks or so, I still have not received my item. What is going on?
Firstly, check if it has been 18 business days (business days meaning not counting weekends). Items are not considered lost if it has not passed 30 business days.
There are a few reasons why you have not received the order. The package could be at the custom, or delayed in transit because of the weather, a strike in the postal service or peak holiday season. Alternatively, your post office (for instance USPS) has tried delivering to you but you were not aware. You could then check your mail box or with your neighbour, to see if the mailman has left you a delivery notice slip. Sometimes, your package is already delivered and signed for by another person in your household. Do check with them.
If your order has tracking, please track your package with singpost.com or contact us and we can check for you. If you are given a tracking number, it will definitely work. So please do not worry about this.
Tracked packages have to be SIGNED FOR. If tracking is provided, you are responsible for ensuring the item is delivered to you. Make sure there is someone to sign for the package. If you miss the delivery, it is your responsibility to ask your local post office for the whereabout of your item and follow up with them.
You refuse to answer my mail!
We can be contacted on Etsy Convo - most preferred, or via email: jewelsalem [!at] gmail.com
Convo will usually be replied in 24 - 72 hours (during weekdays)
We do not work on weekends, like many of you, so usually we do not reply convos on weekends. If you send us a message, we will write back when the work week begins.
For US, UK and EUROPE - Regular shipping generally takes 5 - 20 BUSINESS DAYS (meaning: not including weekends). Please note we do not work at the post office and have no means of guaranteeing delivery on certain days.
There have been feedback that some packages going to CANADA recently take around 2 months to arrive.
This is out of our control. We advise you to read our policies and take the delivery time into consideration. We strongly encourage Canadian clients to opt for Fedex or DHL delivery services. We also reserve the right to cancel orders to CANADA due to the long shipping time.
If you need more secure and detailed tracking, or for express shipping (delivery within 1 - 4 days), please convo us for rate.
We can be found here too:
