Hi. I’m JoDitt Williams. Yes, JoDitt is my real name that my parents gave me at birth. I really like it because it has always delighted me to be “unique.” Plus, I love who I was named after… my maternal grandmother, “Granny,” and her sister, “Granny Jo.” My grandmother’s real name was Jewell, but her nickname was “Ditt,” which is what everyone called her. I asked her how she got her nickname and all she said was, “I don’t know. I guess cuz I was so little.” Her sister’s name was Jo, so my mom thought it would be great to name a daughter JoDitt. I have an older brother and two younger sisters, but none of them have a name as cool as mine. :)

I’m not sure if it was inherited or just “caught,” but there is no doubt that I got my creativity from Granny, Granny Jo and from my mom. The three of them were always making something… everything from sewing cute matching dresses for me and my sisters and cousins, to oil paintings, to crocheted afghans, to handmade dolls, jewelry, quilts… the list goes on and on. I have such fond memories of trips to fabric stores and looking through magazines for ideas, then getting to help with such cool projects.

I have always loved making things, but when I discovered graphic design, I knew I had found my "craft." I worked in a commercial print shop for awhile, but designing ads and business collateral is not really my cup of tea. Then I began designing wedding invitations, which I liked a lot better, but I have decided that I prefer to design cute, beautiful, joyful designs that will encourage, inspire and uplift people. So that's why I began creating Printable Wall Art and then SVG cut files.

Pantone 14-1911 Candy Pink

If I were a pattern I’d be:
A colorful and whimsical pattern of hearts, flowers, swirls and squiggles

My favorite keyboard shortcut:
F3 (or a fast swipe to my top left corner with my mouse) so I can see all my windows at once. I always have so many windows open at once that this really saves time in finding the window I am looking for.

My biggest vice:
Night Owl tendencies—Staying up late at night to design, read, pray, build my website, blog, scrapbook, or work on other creative projects. And therefore I do not like to get up early in the morning.

When not designing I am:
Spending time with my family, going for walks (only when it is warm and not too windy), enjoying the sunshine, reading, checking email, making lists, getting lost in Pinterest and design blogs, thanking and praising God, and counting my blessings.
