Thank you so much! For the extra too! I got it as a quirky Valentine, as my valentine is off to Australia. It'll be perfect and arrived in time, thank you so much! =)

Thanks so much! I love it ... great transaction! It's so beautiful. And I was stunned by the gorgeous purple velvet box it came in!!!!!
Why I love vintage...
I love hunting down those elusive, gorgeous vintage bits and bobs; items that have withstood the test of time both in durability and design. Vintage is not just remembering the past; it’s about embracing the character of a period and uniting it with the modern to create an aesthetic that is truly timeless.
I think of myself as a rescuer but I also don't want to be known as a hoarder; I can't keep everything I save and that's where my shop comes in handy. It's my joy to pass along beautiful items from the past so they can continue their journey well into the future.
And let's be honest, vintage finding is fun! What pirate doesn't love a good treasure hunt.
I’m a geek by trade, with mad love for vintage, photography, the outdoors, green living, good design and zombies (random I know) I currently live in my almost 100 year old on-going renovation project of a house.
My alter ego online in the Etsy forums!
Please if you have any shipping questions or item questions of any nature, send a convo and ask me PRIOR to purchasing the items. I will gladly reserve a listing for you while we converse so that no one else can buy it.
I’m always open to suggestions and questions, so please feel free to convo me and I will reply as quickly as possible. I can also provide additional photos of products if you have a particular request.
I will reserve items in my shop for future purchase, but due to the fact that I sell unique items which I usually only have individual quantities of in stock, my maximum reserve time is one week.
Love them! Embrace them! Bring them on!
Handmade is heart felt and I love vintage, Etsy is my favourite source for items to fall in love with.
Accepted payment methods
To quote Etsy's Policy: "Etsy does not hold sellers responsible for incorrect shipping address submissions. The buyer must provide correct addresses in both their Etsy and PayPal accounts at the time of checkout."
Please ensure you address is correct in Paypal as that is the address I HAVE to ship to in order for everyone to be covered under the Paypal protection plan. If your Etsy and Paypal address do not match I will contact you. Unfortunately if I do not receive a reply within 3 business days regarding your address, I will cancel the sale and refund your money. I feel it is better for you to make the purchase a second time, rather then the item be shipped to an incorrect address and lost for good.
SHIPPING REFUND FOR OVER PAYMENT
If I have overestimated shipping by a minimum of a dollar I will provide a refund. I can provide exact parcel measurements and weight, along with the origin postal code to anyone who would like to confirm the shipping costs online at the Canada Post website. I do not add a markup to my shipping and only charge a minimal fee for packaging materials on large items.
BUYING MULTIPLE ITEMS
If you intend to purchase multiple items prior to purchasing them please convo me your address and the items so I can accurately calculate combined shipping, which is usually better then my estimated combined shipping rates.
SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL (EXCLUDES CANADA OR THE USA)
I am at a transitional stage in my business where I have made the business decision to stop shipping packages internationally. (outside of Canada or the USA) There have been some changes to the Canada Post regulations that when combined with the Paypal seller & buyer protection requirements, make shipping internationally unfeasible for my business. The cost for the level of postal service that provides a delivery confirmation internationally is quite high and makes the overall cost of any smaller purchases unreasonable. So I have reluctantly made this business decision so that I can focus my energies growing my business in directions that have the greatest positive impact and help me to maintain my best business practices. I appreciate your interest in my shop and hope that you are able to find a suitable item from another shop that can meet your shipping needs.
Packages that have multiple items may be split in to 2 separate parcels at my discretion if one of the items is heavy and the other items light. This is for the safety of the objects and to avoid any damages. I will cover the difference in the cost, because I want the items to arrive safe and unbroken. I will ship all items in multiple boxes with full insurance, at the same time. I also will occasionally split parcels if it means the shipping will end up saving you money! I never do this without first notifying you.
I'm committed to running an ecologically sound business and love that vintage is the ultimate form of recycling! However, shipping breakable vintage requires quite a lot of packaging so I have also made a point of researching and purchasing packaging materials that are also as environmentally responsible as possible. All of my packaging materials are made of 100% recycled, reclaimed, recyclable or biodegradable products. I strongly encourage all buyers to reuse as much of the packaging as possible and if you have no use for the packaging please add it to your regular recycling pickup. Note: The peanuts I use are 100% biodegradable loose fill made primarily of wheat starch, dissolve completely and easily in water and do not contain any heavy metals or ozone depleting substances. If you have kids, the peanuts make a great heat free “melting” craft material.
CUSTOMS, TAXES, DUTY AND COUNTRY SPECIFIC FEES
All items are shipped using regular post. I do not collect taxes, duty, customs fees or any other fees associated with delivery to your destination. Please be aware that these potential fees are entirely your responsibility and I will accept no returns as a result of any of these potential fees. I also, by law, am required to report the true value of an item (what you paid for it) on the customs form. I can not enter a lower price as this would be mail fraud and if an item has a lower price it would also not be covered for insurance purposes. Therefore I also enter the dollar amount that was paid for an item on the customs form.
MARKING "GIFT" ON CUSTOMS FORMS
It is against the law to mark customs forms with "gift" when you are making a purchase from me. Even if an item is a gift you intend to give to someone else, it was not a gift from me to you, therefore I will not mark the customs forms with gift.
Refunds and Exchanges
It’s important to note that I am selling vintage items that are at least 20 years old. These items will potentially have some flaws and minor blemishes as a result of their age and usage over the years. I try to describe the character of and photograph each item as accurately as possible, however occasionally I miss spotting or mentioning small flaws. If you have any specific questions or would like additional photographs, just send me a convo and I will provide you with as much information as you need.
ITEMS RECEIVED DAMAGED OR LOST
To quote Etsy's Policy: "Etsy does not hold sellers responsible for postal delays, failures, thefts, losses or customs problems. The buyer and seller are urged to file a postal claim in the event of a postal failure."
For damaged in transportation or lost in transportation items: Please note that when I submit an insurance claim to Canada Post I must provide them with photos of the damage and packaging, so I will be requesting that from you.
Lost shipments (after 21 business days in North America and 75 days Internationally as per Canada Post claim requirements) will be refunded if the delivery confirmation was not verified by the post office or if the post office is in agreement that a parcel has not arrived.
Refunds for damaged or lost items will be given as soon as the paperwork and images are submitted, the documentation is accepted by Canada Post and they have reached their decision on the claim. If a buyer is unwilling to provide documentation or images to support a postal claim, Canada Post will typically decline a refund and close the case.
If for ANY reason a claim is opened, I will provide the buyer with a case number and the Canada Post contact information so that they can verify that the postal claim is indeed opened and in progress.
Additional policies and FAQs
I live in a completely smoke free home and I never purchase items that smell of smoke (or any other strong scents). I have allergies to smoke myself so I am very careful about this. All washable items including fabrics are washed before shipping. Any items that are not washable, I do my best to ensure are dust and particle free, however I am selling vintage items so the occasional grit due to age may be in small crevices or crannies on some items. The exception to this is when I specifically mention in a listing that an item is not perfectly clean, nor have I attempted to clean it, in order to preserve it's natural aged character!
MY FINAL THOUGHTS!
If the Zombie plague should arrive while your goods are in transit, all of the above polices are completely out the window. Instead heed this good advice: Don’t open your door to anyone! Even if the guy slobbering on your doorstep is wearing a postman’s outfit.
Awesome vintage is just not worth losing your brains over.
