I LOVE this clearly OOAK crinoid fossil necklace! I was (needlessly) worried when I first ordered it that the fossil would (1) be too large to be complimented by the ceramic African beads, small Roman glass beads and bronze beads surrounding the crinoid on the linen cord that it hands from, and (2) the crinoid fossil would be uncomfortable on my skin. But I have developed tremendous faith in Journey Talismans, and given how much I love each and every piece that I have purchased from this Etsy store, I decided to take a gamble. Wow, am I happy that I did! I’ve been wearing this unique fossil necklace constantly, and have at least one person stop and inquire about it per each wearing. It’s a great conversation started, so a wonderful piece for a very chatty person like myself to wear and enjoy. Thank you, Journey Talismans!

This long talisman artifact necklace has become one of my most favorite necklaces of all time! It features a large kyanized blade hanging with a natural garnet in schist matrix (which is just fun to say!), and a handmade organic fine silver bead on linen cord. Elsewhere along the cord are silver heishi beads, ancient pre-Columbian carnelian beads - including a carnelian button bead for a closure - and a carved ceramic pre-Columbian bead, along with a Roman era carved lapis lazuli bead, and ancient feather glass bead, black pearl, and Thai silver beads. I’m always amazed at how Journey Talismans consistently produces beautiful, cohesive pieces that incorporate extremely diverse materials from such far-flung spots on the time/geographical space continuum. How cool is that?! Hangs beautifully. Love it, love it, love it! Thanks!!!

I really enjoy pairing different earrings in interesting ways, and this one is perfect for doing just that. I can wear it opposite a vintage green stud - who lost its partner years ago (oops) - or even opposite a simple silver stud, for an exaggerated asymmetrical look. I was worried that this earring might be too heavy for me, but am delighted to report that the weight is just fine. I'm really having fun with this colorful addition to my earring collection. Thanks for making this OOAK piece and listing it on Etsy!

I love to mix earrings and this one is perfect for it - so versatile! I've been wearing it opposite a fresh water pearl or simple silver stud for an exaggerated asymmetrical look, which garners lots of attention. Very organic shape and clearly OOAK! Thanks so much for making this piece and listing it on Etsy!

This is truly a stunning, surprisingly large agate bead, hand carved in the shape of the wheel of Heaven's Eye, in the Tibetan tradition. The pictures posted simply don't do it justice! I'm having so much fun deciding how to incorporate it into a necklace. Bead as muse?! Thanks for parting with this beautiful bead, and selling it on Etsy!

After many years of collecting ancient, antique and art items, I decided to get into making jewelry again. My jewelry is a blending of many styles, techniques, embellishments, etc., for a feeling of age, use and patina. I like all styles and materials. No two pieces will ever be exactly the same, and, nothing will be perfect. Please feel free to convo me with questions, or answers! PLEASE NOTE that my jewelry is not meant to be new looking but rustic in fitting with the materials I use. That means there will be texture from files and hammers, and items will not have that polished finished store look.
