Best Friends, Bookish Girls, and Pastel Lovers
Hi! Our names are Katie and Xiomara and we have been best friends since we started working our first graphic design job together in 2012. We both studied art in university and love illustration, so we decided to team up in 2016 to start our own business and Joy Addict was born!
Originally, we started out with greeting cards, but then started to focus on enamel pins. Enamel pins are such a lovely, little way to express yourself and things we love. Both of us illustrate the designs for our pins, and then Xiomara turns them into digital files ready for production and manages the production process. We have worked with the same trusted production partner for over 6 years now and are so pleased with the quality of their work as they bring our designs to life. Katie then receives the final pins to our studio in sunny Southern California, and quality checks, packages, and sends them out to our lovely customers!
In addition to enamel pins, we make art prints illustrated by Katie and printed in our studio. We also design washi tape and stickers, printed by another trusted production partner and then delivered to us for packaging and shipping.
As in many small businesses, we wear many hats – we both do photography, marketing, social media, accounting (and all the other little things that come up!) but we both love getting to bring a bit of joy to the world, and are so thankful that we get to do it together!
