THANK YOU! First I made them split their wholesale batch, and then I ended up ordering a second time... and they were so kind not to mention my craziness. This is really unique gimp with ribbon in it. I've never seen it anywhere else and it makes my 1880's ensemble reproductions authentic (even though it's synthetic material, it's so like what they had then - early synthetics - and the colors are perfect for the era). I bet this even looks nice on a lamp too!

I knew this would be a bit heavy handed for apparel useage; even late Victorian when they got a little crazy with trims, but it turns out to be perfect for the top of a silk corset! It's really nice because it has a nice embroidery like top - which in lampshades probably makes it easy to just stick it on there without seaming or folding over - and on costumes, makes a pretty finished edge that i can just sew on there. A lucky find and great customer service in accommodating my yardage needs.

While this is meant for lampshades and upholstery, it will work well as trim on late Victorian costume ensembles; a time when they were very heavy on the trim. I bit heavier than normal apparel use, it is really high quality and unique with the woven ribbon - very pretty and exactly as the pictures. Really, really fast delivery.
