Juniper Hill Antiques has been around since the 1960's when our mom opened a shop in our barn across the street. As little girls, my sister and I used to watch mom excitedly go to auctions and estate sales, bring home assorted items that seemed to us to be a lost cause, then she would turn them into wonderful pieces that families would cherish for years to come. I guess you can say that it is in our blood, we were raised appreciating the beauty of vintage furniture and the desire to restore it back to the way it was meant to be. Our mom is at rest, but her passion still lives on in us. For the past fifteen years, we have gone one step further with our vintage furniture. We have painstakingly restored each piece to near perfect condition, added beautiful hand made floral applique's, crystal knobs, then we carefully hand paint each piece personally. Each a piece of usable art.

But what makes our pieces so different? My answer to that would be pride and workmanship in each piece and the years and experience we have behind us in business. Each piece that leaves our workroom has been carefully restored and leaves us in "put in place" condition. We personally have seen our share of white (spray) painted furniture for sale that makes us hang our head in disbelief and shame. We have seen broken drawers and doors, loose veneers carelessly spray painted over, smelly, dirty interiors and other problems... too many to mention! We wonder how some dealers could... or would sell some of the items they do! If you buy furniture from Juniper Hill Antiques, all of the drawers will work properly, the finish will be beautiful, you will think that you are buying a new piece of furniture. In fact, a lot of customers that visit us at Brimfield are convinced that our pieces are new, we have to take the time to show them that they really are vintage pieces restored!
