From Office to Home.

My name is Shelly, but that doesn't tell you much about me does it? Well, the last few years have been a whirlwind for me and my family. Although it has been painful and hard, it has also taught me a lot of lessons, and has really played a part in leading me to Etsy.

In 2009, I had to quit my job with a wonderful company due to the progression of a disease I have called Muscular Dystrophy. It's very hard to go from a place of being capable and successful, to staying home each day wondering what to do with yourself. That can definitely be a fast road to depression.

I had to find something to do; I missed working so much. I hate being idle, I just can't do it. But my body limits me greatly. I picked up some hobbies and activities that kept me busy. I began to love being a stay at home mom and taking care of my family, with the help of a caregiver.

But, as is the way of the disease, it got worse. In 2011 my husband had to quit his job to stay at home with me, I needed more help than one caregiver can give!

Well, three people (we have a daughter) in a house and zero jobs doesn't work well when you have a mortgage! We began to sell nearly everything of value we had. We sold our books on Amazon and other stuff on ebay. Soon we found that we could make money by doing this, so Ben, my dear husband, started doing that pretty much full time, when he wasn't helping me.

But I wanted to do more. I felt like I could still do something (even though it was not much), and I really hated not being able to contribute to my family.

My hands are always itching to start a project, and I had always been into crafting. Mainly scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting, jewelry making and sewing. My arms, however, are no longer able to knit at all, and I can only crochet a little. So I started making small things, things that my hands could handle, and I was happy as can be just doing that.

After making some gifts and some stuff for my daughter's hope chest I became bored again. One night I decided to play with some felt I had and a needle and thread. I can't remember what I made but I was hooked. I wanted to make cute little things with fabric and thread.

I had opened an Etsy shop in 2008, hoping to sell some purses I made. No luck:( But, as I started making my little fabric things, it dawned on me! I could put these on Etsy!

And that's where it started. I now have hundreds of little stuff I've made, much of it for scrapbooking or card making. Each day I get better at what I do and I never get bored! There are too many ideas in my mind (and on my Pinterest boards;) to let me get bored!

Of course there will be a time when I can no longer do any of this. But for right now I'm thankful that I can do what I can do. Each time I lose a certain ability or movement, I grieve for it and then try to adapt. It's a good thing to be adaptive.

I just keep rolling along, and I hope you do too:)

Ben is Shelly's husband, and what a husband he is! He helps her every day with all of sorts of things. He's given up much of his own life to help her. He's selfless, caring, and creative. Shelly is trying to talk him into making stuff for Etsy too!

Thank you for visiting my little craft shop! Come in and get comfy!

First of all, please note that I want to give the best customer service you've ever seen, because that is the kind of service I want!

My creations, and the creating process, are one of my greatest passions. I love making things, and I love learning new things, so I'm always trying new crafts, arts, and techniques.

My shop has a vast variety of items for sale! I like to make so many different things, I cannot limit myself. I create handmade scrapbook and card making supplies, custom and unique framed embroidery pieces, lovely flower brooches and hair clips, and more.

I feel so lucky to be apart of Etsy. I'm proud to be a small part of something so truly amazing. I can say that it has changed my life for the better, and I hope that it does so for you as well.

As I create, I think about the person who will be using my items, and I try to put some of my love into it. I don't just want to sell my products to make money, I honestly hope to spread kindness, love, and blessings.

Our home is smoke free. We do love our pets, however, but take great care not to send you their hair along with your purchase!

I will also pay HALF of the return shipping fee. Once I receive the item back, I will refund you the price of the item, plus half of the shipping cost.

Sometimes things happen, and we understand that. If you receive something and it has been damaged in the mail, of course we'll refund that. We always want to work with you, so just communicate with us.
I accept credit cards and PayPal. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay through them! You can use your debit card or credit card to purchase through PayPal without an account, did you know that? Awesome huh!

Payment is required within 7 days of purchase.

Item will not be sent until payment is received and cleared. I want to send out my items right away, I want you to have them asap, but I cannot send them out until payment is made.

1/2 of purchase price is required before I can begin a custom item.

I have to charge 6% for purchases made in Idaho. Sorry!
Shipping is done the day after the purchase is made, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays.

First Class Mail will be used for items weighing less than 13 ounces. Items weighing more than 13 ounces will be sent through Parcel Post, UPS, or FedEx, whichever is least expensive.

Shipping to some countries is more expensive than those quotes I've listed. If this may be the case for you, please contact me first before you purchase. I may not be able to ship it at all.

If you need it sooner, and/or would like it to be insured, please contact us.

We ship our packages in the cheapest way possible, unless otherwise requested.

If shipping is over paid by $1.00 or more it will be refunded with request. Just send a quick note, we don't always catch it.

Custom orders are always welcome, but may take a bit to send out. I will always let the customer know how long it will take, and I am glad to work with someone with a deadline.

I can definitely do gift wrapping, but this may take an extra day to get the proper supplies. Please let me know if you need it quickly! We can always work with you and your circumstances!

We can send it to a different address upon request, but without this request I will send it to the address listed with Etsy.

We always use recycled packaging when available.

Delivery to people in the continental US typically takes about 3-5 business days, but can take longer; this depends on the carrier. International shipping can take up to 6 weeks, depending on customs; however, it normally does not take that long.

Wooo...that's a lot of stuff to remember. Just contact us and we will make it work:)
Additional policies and FAQs
I love to do custom work. I'm open to any suggestion or theme request. I love to do custom letters. You can let me know the size, shape, colors, and fabrics; or, you can just tell me what you have in mind and let me put it together as I see fit. I can do custom embroidery, initials, dates, or phrases on many of my items. Most of the items I create can be made in 1-2 days, but others may take longer. Please contact me for more information. I require half of the price of the item to be paid before I begin.
