The plants have been calling to me to work with them in this way for over 15 years. I've finally listened to create "Plant Spirit" Vessels, Mala, Dangles and Products.

Being an herbalists as well as an artist, I previously & predominately offered plant medicine to people in it's physical form in teas, tinctures & elixirs. But with the plant's guidance & encouragement I felt pulled to offer the magic of plants to people in a different way- not just solely working with plants by simply taking their medicine into their body physically, but by experiencing the power of plant medicine through the presence, spirit & energy held within an object that the plants spirit had been imprinted upon. This is where my Plant Spirit Art cam into being.

Each bead in every mala or earring, every ceramic vessel, allows you to connect with the plants, draw upon thier essence & be empowered by them.

Each plant communicates to me & volunteers to be pressed into the clay or formed into a bead to have their literal & spiritual imprint made. I "listen" as each plant that grows wild & in my gardens during the Spring & Summer, tells me what parts to use, how they'd like to be placed on a vessel & glazed or arranged in a mala necklace. Truly these pieces that have been created were made by the plants themselves. I'm simply the conduit.

The spirit, essence or energetic "fingerprint" if each plant emanates & is very much present within each piece created. When you use you mug, gaze at your vase, or wear you earrings, you will also be graced with the energy and presence of each plant imbused into your piece of art. Dandelion for strength, Motherwort for the heart, each plant offers something unique & healing.

In creating this art, I hope to invite the plant world into people's lives in a way that they may not fully understand, but that they are most definitely drawn to. I find that just like anything, you are drawn to the things that want to help you & serve you on your path. I feel that my Plant Spirit Art works in the same way. The pieces draw you to them, if the plant contained within them has something to share with you. xoAmanda
