How I got the idea for Just Dog Gone Cute and how one dog made a difference.

Just Dog Gone Cute came about while volunteering to take pictures at a shelter. A dog showed up at my house and I could not keep her so I took her to the shelter. I followed her online for months hoping to see her adopted. When the shelter finally posted pictures of her they were pitiful! I knew no one would see her pictures and go to adopt her. She was so much more than those pictures showed. So I offered to help them & take pictures outside of the kennel in the play yard. I used anything I could find to make them stand out amongst all the other shelter pictures being posted. I took action shots and dressed them up. I loved the slip on ribbon collars I bought because they were the easiest to use and added a lot of color to the pictures. They seemed easy enough to make so I started making them for my pictures and that led to me making them for others.

The dog I surrendered I ADOPTED and she is the reason Just Dog Gone Cute is here today. She lives on now through Just Dog Gone Cute. Lucy, I love you sweet girl. You left me with more than I could ever imagine. Thank you for finding me! I'll see you again someday not nearly soon enough.

Leonard was adopted unexpectedly during a trip to Petco. He was half the size of his litter mates and he stole our hearts right away. He is our "heart" dog that came to us after the loss of our beloved Lucy & Sally. He is so loving & gentle to all!
