About

In 2006 I fell in love . . . with molten glass!

I am using my Etsy shop to reach an appreciative audience for my distinctive work. Being found among over 6 million items may not be easy, but I am confident my reputation for beautiful, unique lampworked items will spread.

Originally trained at the Corning Museum of Glass, I am a full-time lampworking artist. I love spending my days stretching my skills and "turning hot glass into cool stuff!" In 2009 I opened Expressive Glass, a teaching studio in Buffalo, NY.

I take great care in creating my sculptures and preparing them for safe shipment. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me within 48 hours of receiving your item at 716-825-3333 or by Convo. I will work with you to find a solution to any issue. Your satisfaction is critically important to me.

Accepted payment methods

  • Money Order
Payment
I prefer PayPal and will accept postage money orders. If you live in NY state, I need to charge sales tax (8.75%). Sorry about that, but I don't look good in horizontal stripes or bright orange jumpsuits.
Shipping
I pack my work for shipment with appropriate cushioning to protect it during transit. I use the US post office (first class or priority mail) and insure pieces over $25 for loss or damage. I generally add tracking to the package and will e-mail you the number so you can keep an eye out for it if you like.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with your item for any reason, please contact me to arrange for a refund or exchange. You are eligible for a full refund within 5 days of receipt and an item exchange within 30 days. Original pieces must be returned to me, securely packed for shipment, and insured for full value for breakage.

If a piece is damaged in transit, let me know within 48 hours. I will likely have insurance on it and would be happy to make a replacement piece for you. Keep in mind that each piece is one-of-a-kind, so your replacement will be similar, not identical to the original. If you prefer, you can exchange the damaged item for another piece from my inventory. (We will reconcile any differences in price.)

Custom orders will not be shipped until you have paid in full and approved a picture of the completed item. I will communicate with you throughout the creation process to help ensure we are on the same page. There are no refunds or exchanges on custom orders once they have been shipped, unless they arrived damaged.
Additional policies and FAQs
CUSTOM PET PORTRAITS IN GLASS: I selectively accept commissions to create mini-sculptured portraits of specific pets. Should you be interested in exploring this unique item, convo me. Before making my decision, I will require a minimum of two colored photos, one full face and one profile. If the color is unusual, I may also request that you mail me a small sample of the animal's coat if it's available. I will only accept commissions for sculptures I am confident I can complete beautifully.

I will check in with you throughout the creation process to ensure we have the same vision. It typically takes me several tries to capture the animal's "essence" and you are my best source of feedback. Once a piece is completed, it cannot be reworked.

You may purchase a miniature pet sculpture by itself for $189, or if you prefer, I can place it in a shadowbox frame, on a stand or place it on a necklace for an additional fee. Once we agree on a design, I will supply you with the price. (If you decide on a custom necklace, for example, the price starts at $242 depending on the design and materials used.)

You may pay over time, but I will not proceed with the sculpture until you have paid a $75 deposit. I will only ship the piece once you have approved a photo of the completed piece and have paid in full. If you do not approve the completed piece AND I believe I can sell it to someone else, I will refund $35 to you. If I believe there is not a general market for your piece, I will not be able to refund any of your money. There are no refunds or exchanges on custom orders once they have been shipped, unless they arrived damaged.

Please Convo me if you have any questions or special requests.
