I ordered this for my sister's yellow lab Luke to wear at a humane society benefit. When the collar arrived, my sister emailed "The collar is absolutely beautiful. Were you aware that the entire collar portion is covered with satin? Honestly, I just can't believe the quality of the workmanship that went into this. And to make sure the red "bow tie" didn't get smashed during mailing, each bow loop was stuffed with tissue paper.“ I attended the event and saw Luke in his collar. The collar was just lovely and nicer than anything the other dogs were wearing! Also, it is a very sturdy dog collar and can be hooked to a leash! Melissa is very talented and the finished product is custom-made in the very highest sense of the term!

Just Imagine: Where Creativity Soars

My name is Melissa Harris and I am an artist, writer, and stay at home mom with a very active little boy named Dylan. My mother and I have always been crafters, making things for friends, family members, co-workers etc…Growing up, I was always surrounded by art and creativity. My mother taught me how to do everything from a very young age. I drew my first giraffe at 3 years old. In the 1980’s, my mother had a craft business and sold “country crafts” and I spent much of my young life learning from her. She was an amazing teacher and taught me to cross stitch, draw, paint, sew, cook, and pretty much every other “crafty” and creative thing I still love to do today.
After a recent period of unemployment, we wondered what we could do, especially in this economy. As my mother’s health began to fail due to a chronic health condition and I struggled to find a job with a toddler at home and the high cost of daycare, we decided a home-based business was the way to go. We threw around some ideas and developed some samples. Some things worked and some things didn’t, but then inspiration struck, our products started to fall in line, and in May 2011, Just Imagine was born. We didn’t want to limit ourselves to just one type of product, we wanted a menagerie of merchandise, and we are always trying new things such as our upcoming seasonal product lines for Halloween and Christmas. We are really excited to try some new things and offer more great and unique products. Our motto is “Where Creativity Soars” and we believe that if you can imagine it, we can create it.
Starting an online business has definitely been a learning experience and a challenge but it has been so much fun and rewarding as well. At first, we were worried and apprehensive, as most people are when they start a new endeavor, especially one as personal as a craft business. It is always hard when your artistry is up for evaluation from the public. We were worried people were not going to like our products or we were not going to have any sales and that all of our hard work would be for nothing. It took us a month to make our first sale but that first sale was such a happy moment, we were on cloud nine for days! It is so great when we sell a product and then hear from our customers how happy they are with their purchase or when someone tells us in an email or at a craft show how much they love our merchandise.
Now that we have been open for over two years, we are still learning. I handle the business side of things, while my mother prefers to be more of a silent, creative partner. As we begin to establish ourselves more, I am able to do more of the fun, creative stuff too, but I have actually found that I like the business stuff as well. We have worked in business before but never for ourselves and it makes such a big difference, having to only answer to yourself and not someone else. This is more personal, more rewarding, and much more fun. The hours are long and the pay is small at first, but we are establishing ourselves and our customer base and things are picking up at a steady pace.
Our goal is to make quality products at a reasonable price that make people happy. I think it is important to support the arts and to support the handmade craft movement. It is ironic that a movement about creating with your hands that has such a personal meaning for both artist and buyer has found a new home in a medium such as online shopping which is has long been called impersonal. I haven’t found this to be true at all however. I think it is wonderful for crafters and artisans all around the world. We can connect and unite on a global basis and our products can travel everywhere and not just local markets, global markets and customers. One of our first orders was to a woman in Norway, which we thought was such an interesting and cool experience, Norway is a long way from a town like Apex, North Carolina. While there are still craft fairs and festivals for artisan to sell their goods, the majority of the modern crafter’s income comes from web sales and online marketplaces. The artists benefit from the international exposure and the buyers benefit from a plethora of new and exciting products. We are so pleased to be a part of the online handmade craft revolution. It is a beautiful thing for everyone!

Thank you for visiting our Etsy shop, Just Imagine1. We specialize in a variety of products, from bridal accessories to dog collars. All of our products can be customized to fit your needs, details on custom products are featured with each item.

Order by March 3 (USA) and February 24 (International) for St. Patrick's Day delivery.

I am Melissa Harris Kampfer, and I learned everything I know about art from my mother. My mother Connie works with me as well, but she prefers to mainly work on the creative stuff as opposed to the business end of the shop (I get to do a little of both). I enjoy creating cool and funky items and I love Celtic artwork. I like working with many different mediums.

We accept payments through PayPal. If you are a North Carolina resident, payments include applicable sales tax, in addition to shipping costs.

Orders will be filled within 2-4 weeks. We try to ship orders within a couple of weeks, but during busier times, this is not always possible. If you need a product rushed, please let us know, and we can work with you.

Custom bridal orders can take up to 4-8 weeks to process.
Shipping costs may vary depending upon the item and method of delivery. Most of our shipping is done through the USPS, but we reserve the right to ship either UPS, USPS, or FedEx. We use recycled boxes.

For our international buyers, we are not responsible for any additional international shipping charges that may occur. Some countries do charge additional tariff and postal charges. If you have any questions about international postal charges and tariff rates, if applicable, please contact your specific postal carrier. These charges are not from our store, therefore, we cannot answer questions about specific international postal fees.

Due to an increase in sales and the custom, handmade nature of our products, our processing time for regular orders is currently about 2-4 weeks, though we always try to ship as soon as possible. If you need an item before this, please let me know.

Our current processing time for bridal orders is 4-8 weeks. Because of the time it takes to make our bridal items, if you need a bridal order rushed in less than 2 weeks, there may be an additional $10 "Bridal Rush Order" charge. Please contact me for rush orders before you order, so that we can discuss when you need your order and I can create a separate listing for you that includes this charge, if applicable.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the custom nature of our products, we only accept returns for defective merchandise. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us immediately because we would like to try and fix the problem. We also cannot warrant our products against improper human or pet use. All return shipping will be paid by the buyer, unless the return is for a defective item. All qualifying returns will be done through a PayPal credit to the buyers account.

There are no returns on custom bridal orders, we can work with you on exchanges or order changes. If you cancel your order, we can issue you a refund in the original amount of your payment, minus any fees and supplies we have already put into the item.

Please note that due to the original nature of our products, some variation may occur. We reserve the right to alter products based on the availability of materials. All of our products are made to order, just for you. You may request specific custom pieces not already in our store by contacting me. Our processing time is based on the amount of sales we receive. We try and process purchases in the order in which they are received, unless prior arrangements have been made with me.
