About

Combining my love for sewing while being able to be home with my kids!

Hello, I am Jessica, the designer and maker of all products at the JustSewBaby Etsy Shop.

This fun adventure all started while I was pregnant with my third child in 2009. And in 2010, when I saw Etsy starting to become very popular I decided to secure my business name for later( and became a shopper), well later has finally came, in March of 2015 I listed my first item for sale!

While pregnant I thought about how I could combine my love for sewing, while still being available for whatever my family needed. I realized I could make some of the items I used with my first two children more useful. I remembered how frustrated I was with the hooded towels I received as gifts except two; the two I received from my Grandmother. She made them super sized from raw terry cloth and a piece of ribbon. They came in very handy, because I had very large babies(9.9, 9.3 and 9.10). I wondered how I could make them with my own flare, not long after my first product was born, available in three sizes! I have since created many new products of my own and a few spin offs of the old faithful products that in my opinion just didn't meet the parents/babies needs. The next item I created was our Carseat Cover. I designed this cover out of necessity, because I didn't want to use what was available on the market for my December baby in 2009. I didn't want any product that laid on my babies face, attached to the handle of the seat or flew off in the wind, our amazing Carseat Cover was born!

My philosophy when creating my products is; to make a high quality product that actually exceeds the needs of parents & baby at an affordable price.

Since starting my business in September of 2009, I went from sewing in my basement to a beautiful brand new studio above our attached garage of our home. My Studio is a bright inviting pet and smoke-free environment, were my local customers can come shop or pick up orders by appointment.

I pride myself on 100% customer satisfaction. If you have any issues whatsoever with your purchase please don't hesitate to contact me. I would love the opportunity to make sure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase.

If it is necessary to send back an item due to a mistake on my part(within 7 days of delivery), I will pay the return First Class postage and replace/fix item it at my expense. I will inevitably make a mistake from time to time, but I will make it right, so please contact me first rather than going straight to leaving poor feedback.

Can I cancel my order?
In order to accommodate our ability to have a fast turn around time, you may only cancel your order within 4 hours, otherwise your item will already have entered the shipping process. Custom or personalized orders cannot be cancelled, since we start making them right away in order to provide a quick turn around time.
Payment
Payment is due immediately via PayPal, direct check-out or an Etsy Gift Card. Sales tax will be added to orders placed by Minnesota state residents.
Shipping
When will ordered items ship?

RTS Items: Will ship on scheduled days unless you also purchase upgraded shipping before check out. (item will be listed as RTS)

Made to Order/Custom Listings: We try our best to start working on those listings/items as soon as they are purchased(unless we are waiting for custom fabric shipment, those will take longer), our usual lead time is about 10-12 business days. If it is longer we will let you know during the Convo process of your order. You are always welcome to ask our current lead time on MTO/CL at any time.

What is included in the shipping charges?
As an added service to all my amazing customers, we provide tracking all packages shipped at no additional cost. Please contact me immediately if you do not receive your items, or in the event they are damaged in transit. I will be glad to help in any way I can with contacting the USPS as any refunds are done within USPS in these situations. Should your package arrive damaged, please take as many pictures as you can as this will help when filing a claim with the USPS.

Do we ship internationally?
Not at the moment, possibly adding this option soon!

When will I receive my order?
All orders are shipped via USPS- and will be shipped either First Class or Priority, both include package tracking. USPS estimates up to 9 business days for shipping times depending on how it was shipped. We take all finished orders to the USPS for shipping at least twice a week, usually on Tuesday and Thursday.

Need your order sooner?
Choose the upgraded shipping item in the shop to expedite shipping same day as final payment of your order is received, for only the RTS items in our shop. Meaning if it isn't one of my scheduled shipping days, I will go to post office to mail your package the same day of paid order. Package will ship then ship via Priority Mail, which does not guaranteed date but a gives smaller estimated delivery window of 3-5 days for delivery instead of 9 days.

Oh NO, I entered my address incorrectly! What happens now?
It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to make certain that he or she enters the address correctly. Please double-check the address you are entering and make sure it is valid for USPS shipments, as I do not forward packages and I will NOT be held responsible for packages that are sent to the wrong address that the buyer has entered.
