Finally have time to play

We both spent 40+ years of our lives driving up and down I-95 to our jobs. We couldn't wait till we could retire and say goodbye to all the traffic and daily commute to work. We retired, downsized, and moved (2012) to a small, peaceful little hamlet on the eastern shore of Maryland (and moved in 2025 to Delaware) and finally have the time to do whatever we want. Back in 1967, Aunt Tessie sent me $40 to buy a Sears sewing machine - we were stationed at Ft. Sill, OK at the time. I was far from home, couldn't afford a telephone, so sewing filled my free time between taking care of babies and keeping house. Once all the kids were in school, I went to work and put away the sewing machine for 40 years. I always wanted to go back to it, so now I have a chance. I'm starting small, doing easy projects like throw pillows and table runners.
