I have been making art of one kind or another since I was very young. I went to art school and worked as a graphic artist, painter and portrait artist before joining my husband in a demanding international business that took all my time for more than a decade. As that business was winding down, I taught myself how to make beaded jewelry as a hobby, and since then I have been learning how to work with metal. Making jewelry is wonderful because the parameters are somewhat defined, (by the dimensions of the human body) while the opportunity for creative expression is limitless. I love the materials, the tools, the processes, and developing the skill and concentration that is needed to have a good result. I am inspired by what others are doing and have done throughout history, and I enjoy expanding my knowledge and trying my hand at new things. I think beautiful artistic objects tell stories, but without words.
