😲 FAKE DESIGNS ALERT
Please be aware, that signatures like 'Husár D' or TABOO are NOT old Czech traditional designer names or marks, as many sellers wrongly claim. Pieces signed Husár D or Taboo will often be described as vintage or antique and will be accompanied by glowing descriptions. These pieces are NEWLY made fantasy pieces in vintage look, nice, but NOT OLD.
==> HUSAR D (David Husar, 45) is living in Czech Republic, was established in 2006 (see the Czech Trade Register). He makes new jewelry from vintage parts and his jewelry has been made with unplated backs. It is unfinished, but signed. Honestly, would a true famous jewelry designer allow unfinished jewelry to be sold with his name attached to it …? No reliable information referencing any Czech jewelry maker by the name of 'Husár D' has ever been found. Not in historical records in which he was supposed to have been so well known and successful in business.
-> Offering Husar D or Taboo as a vintage or antique item is a deception
(Whether this seller is being ignorant or deceptive is hard to tell. But at present she (based in Texas) has plenty of these so called vintage signed Fakes up for sale).

-> Ufinished items with visible soldering + signed = FAKE!

-> Offering Aurora Borealis items from the 1920-30's is also wrong. Aurora Borealis, an iridescent coating applied to crystal rhinestones that produces a rainbow effect, was developed by Swarovski in 1955.

Gablonz, a city in Bohemia, Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia) is the cradle of costume jewelry. The first artificial jewelry was produced in 18th century in Gablonz and was exported throughout Europe. Already in 1820 Gablonz makers exported more than 2½ bilion cut glass beads / rhinestones in a year worldwide. Beginning 1830's Gablonz craftsmen began making lines of fashion jewelry thousands tons of glass components were exported into the whole world, especially to the USA.
Most of the original vintage jewelry made in Czechoslovakia was not marked, since the Czechs did not bother much about it, but you may sometimes find a piece marked Czechoslovakia or Czech or Made in Czechoslovakia. All these pieces are plated on the back and the signatures are engraved, not attached.

FAKE DESIGNS ALERT 😲
Signatures like 'Husár D' or "Taboo" are NOT OLD Czech traditional designer names
or marks, as some sellers wrongly claim. Pieces signed Husár D will often be described as antique and will be accompanied by glowing descriptions. These pieces are NEWLY made fantasy pieces in vintage look!
-> Offering "Husar D" as a vintage or antique item from the 1930s is a deception!
Mr. David Husár (apx. 45) is living TODAY in Czech Republic.(see Facebook or
Google). If you see a Czech vintage Xmas tree signed Husar or Taboo and
described from the 1920-30s - it's a fake. First Rhinestone Christmas trees were
made after the 1950s and are not signed
-> Offering Aurora Borealis rhinestones from the 1920-30's is misleading, since
Aurora Borealis was developed by Daniel Swarovski in 1955

...Whether this seller is being ignorant or deceptive is hard to tell. But at present she
(based in Texas) has plenty of these so called vintage signed fakes up for sale...
No reliable information referencing any Czech jewelry maker by the name of 'Husár D' has ever been found. Not in historical records in which he was supposed to have been so well known and successful in business. And, honestly, would any true famous artist or a jewelry designer allow unfinished jewelry to be sold with his name attached to it, where all the backs are unfinished (not plated) but signed …?
Visible soldering is how jewelry looks before it’s plated.
==>>> SOLDERED AND SIGNED = FAKE 😍 Don’t get betrayed!

A bit history of Czech Rhinestones:
Gablonz, a city in Bohemia, Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia) is the cradle of costume jewelry. The first artificial jewelry was produced in 18th century in Gablonz and was exported throughout Europe. Already in 1820 Gablonz makers exported more than 2½ bilion cut glass beads and rhinestones in a year worldwide. Beginning 1830's Gablonz craftsmen began making lines of fashion jewelry thousands tons of glass components were exported into the whole world, especially to the USA.
Most of the original vintage jewelry pieces made in Czechoslovakia between 1890’s to late 1930’s were not marked, since the Czechs did not bother much about it, but you may sometimes find a rare piece marked Czechoslovakia or Czech or Made in Czechoslovakia. All these pieces are PLATED on the back, SOLDERING was NOT common on the Czech vintage jewelry in the 1920-30s as some sellers wrongly claim, it is a misleading information.

Conclusion: Husar D, Bijoux and Lilien established in 2006, Taboo in 2014 and they are NOT premier jewelry design houses from the past!
