Crafts for Critters

I started working with 550 cord in the US Army, when we had plenty of the utility cord available and some times with not a lot to keep us occupied. This sort of "trench art" is a long-standing tradition.

Some years after I got out of the military, my wife began working on animal rehabilitation in Texas. She is licensed by the state, and the animal control office brings a variety of critters to her throughout the year. These animals need a lot of attention, care, and food. That food can really add up, so we started selling parachute cord bracelets to offset this expense. For more about the rehab work, check out the KAREtx.org website. If you're local, feel free to contact us about any wildlife in distress and we'll see what we can do.

Since those early days, I've branched out to dog collars, leashes, necklaces, neck lanyards, wallet leashes, key fobs, horse leads, and a seemingly never-ending array of crafts that fill almost any need. The cord is now available in dozens of colors, and remains a strong and versatile cord.

We use only US-made cord in our products, and I make all of the items by hand. If you have a special order, start a conversation and I'll see what I can do.
