Since I can remember I have always had a passion for creating anything awesome and colorful! It didn’t really matter what. I can remember when I was in elementary school a friend and I made fanny packs out of jean pockets and belts then puff painted them and attempted to sell them in my driveway. Who needs lemonade when you have this awesome creation! Needless to say, it didn’t go so well. However, I kept on creating. Looking back I’ve been burned quite a bit. I guess I never really saw it that way as a child. I have tried so many things from childhood into my “Adult Life” such as; fanny packs (my personal favorite ) haha, making paper, puff paint t-shirts, jewelry, painting, pottery, sewing, re-purposing furniture, interior design and the list goes on. I did my first few art shows in my 20’s that failed. Each failure was so personal and crushing. Finally about when I turned 30 I decided that the only way I was going to make this work is if I absolutely had to. So I quit my job. This way I had no other choice than to make it work and be successful. It was a very rough start but I never gave up. I started woodworking because I have always loved power tools and building things. I was trying to find the right direction that was cohesive but not repetitive. So I threw in a little bit of everything. Using any materials I could find around me, I started making these unique pieces of inspirational mixed media wall art. It's been 4 years now since I quit my job and I'm still here, eating with a roof over my head. If you want something bad enough there is no way it won't happen. It has been a long exciting journey with plenty of ups and downs. I defiantly work longer and harder than I ever have. However, I love what I do and I am so grateful everyday I gave myself a chance.
