HEN & CO. nació como mi proyecto de tesis de último año en la escuela de diseño en Cornish College of the Arts. Me tomé un descanso durante un par de años mientras trabajaba en Amazon.com como diseñador. Después de tener suficiente de corporativo (léase: largos días aburridos), decidí comenzar de nuevo y aquí estoy, 2 años después, tremendamente exitoso y más feliz que NUNCA.

Creo que las capas hacen que todo en la vida sea más interesante: personas, poesía, un vestido de novia, una cama de invierno. En el diseño, son las capas las que le dan a cada pieza carácter y alma: la mezcla única de colores y elementos. La forma en que eliges ponerlo todo junto. A veces es parte de un plan bien diseñado y todo funciona perfectamente. Otras veces, es pura improvisación y las combinaciones más espontáneas se convierten en las más bellas. De cualquier manera, se trata de construir sobre lo que tienes, seguir tus instintos y dejar que las cosas se desarrollen naturalmente, al igual que la vida.

HEN & CO. was birthed as my senior thesis project in Design school at Cornish College of the Arts. I took a hiatus from it for a couple years while I worked at Amazon.com as a designer. After I had enough of corporate (read: long boring days), I decided to start er' back up and here I am, 2 years later, wildly successful and happier than EVER.

I believe that layers make everything in life more interesting – people, poetry, a wedding dress, a winter bed. In design, it’s the layers that give each piece character and soul - the unique mix of colors and elements. The way you choose to put it all together. Sometimes it’s part of a well devised plan and everything works perfectly. Other times, it’s pure improvisation and the most spontaneous combinations become the most beautiful. Either way, it’s about building on what you have, following your instincts and letting things unfold naturally - just like life.
