About

Inspired by heroines both historical and fantastical, as well by a little nerd culture and cheesecake.

I always knew I would go to college for art, but once I was there, and for a time after I wasn't really sure what I should be creating with my skills. Since attaining a BFA in Illustration I have been on a journey to rediscover my passions, one painting at a time.

I have a strong love for game culture. By this I mean traditional table top RPG games, and I have been fortunate enough to work within this industry. In particular I am drawn to character art, and love narrating a story based on what a particular figure looks like. I have also been strongly influenced by pin up, a.k.a. the art of cheesecake. I blame this for all the Gil Elvgren and Joyce Ballantyne work that decorated the walls where I went to school. Most of the pin up work that I have created is a combination of my love for gaming and my hobby for pin up art.

More recently I am interested by themes and subjects that involve heroines from both historical and fantasy realms. This includes traditional fantasy heroines (including tragedies as well), goddesses, rulers, warriors, witches, ect. My artistic influences other female illustrators dealing with similar themes or media such as Rebecca Guay, Stephanie Law, and Terese Nielsen.

I work in watercolors and love the media to death! It's proven to be a rollercoaster ride, but it suits my work well regardless as to whether it's pin up, personal work, or professional work.
