Amazing! I love the color, the clasp, the design, the feel of it. It is just beautiful. Thank you so much! I hope to collect some more.

Just received my bracelet today and am extremely happy with it! The workmanship is top notch - the bracelet is beautifully made, just as dainty as I was hoping for, and exactly the size I requested. Also, the seller is incredibly easy to work with and very thoughtful - not only did she make a custom clasp for me to ensure it didn't snag on my clothes, but waited to ship it out so that it wouldn't arrive when we were still away on vacation. I highly recommend this seller and her products! Thank you!!
Kaeti Originals started out in 1992 as a maker of pet ID tags and artisan jewelry. You could have your pet's birthstone or a stone to match their coloring. We used actual faceted birthstones that jewelers use in Mother's rings. I still make them, if anyone is interested.
I received my Graduate Gemology Diploma from GIA in 1990 and graduated from college with a BFA in Visual Arts, and a BA in Psychology from the University of North Dakota that same year.
The internet really started to get going a little while later and we registered a number of domain names to protect my mark, "Kaeti". My wonderful jewelry arts instructor Ellen Auyong, told me I should think of a maker's mark that wouldn't change. As women, our last names can change, so had to think of something that wouldn't change no matter what I ended up doing personally. That way, professionally, my identity would stay the same. That's how Kaeti was created. A lot of my friends know me as Katie, so I just changed the letters around and since I love all things Celtic, it seemed to fit. That was in 1988.
I always have been fascinated by chains and links and soon started to teach myself the various weaves. I just love making a piece of jewelry that people enjoy wearing or giving to someone special.

I love the creative process and have designed pieces for retail jewelry stores as well as individuals. It is so much a part of me, I don't know what I would do without being able to create with my hands.
I start my chains and weavings with wire in the various gauges, wrap them, hand saw them to make them into rings. Then I weave them into the various patterns. Or, sometimes the rings are soldered or fused before weaving. Some of the chain patterns are very old as in the case of Viking Knit, Byzantine and chainmaille which can be thousands of years old. Sometimes, I find a pattern I haven’t seen before while I am weaving other chains. These are very serendipitous and I follow where these new patterns take me. Occasionally you will see that I use manufactured clasps and tags because, quite frankly, they work well, and most folks know how they work and feel that they are secure. Other times I make my own clasps to make it a little daring and also much more of an original piece.
All my pieces are priced according to two things: (1) Weight, because precious metal pricing is very changeable and, it’s how I buy it, and, (2), the time it takes to make due to the difficulty of the links and whether they are soldered, fused or left alone.
My beaded pieces are created using a variety of beads and trickets. Some I have hauled around with me forever, (yes, they are vintage, as am I!) ;) and others I have recently found at antique stores or bead stores all over the country. Usually, those are the bigger beads that I haven't seen anywhere else and so can't get them from "normal" sources. I am always keeping an eye out for that particular color, or shape. I may not use what I find until years later. Kinda crazy, huh? There is something about beads that is so hopeful, isn't there? That they will be made into something wonderful and beautiful.
Thank you so much for looking and I hope you like what you have seen here, and maybe, one or two will just have to find their way home to you.

You can contact me to let me know what piece(s) you have and what you wish to have done, mail it in a pre-paid package for an estimate. After we see the piece, and we will email you if a charge needs to be applied. This repair service is for pieces of ours you may have had for a while and need a bit of adjustment. We only repair our own pieces.
Our Beaded items can also be repaired/restrung. Contact me with questions regarding this service.
There may be a chain or beaded jewelry item that is very old or is such an individual piece that the components, links or beads are not reproducible exactly or can't be found and therefore the piece may not be completely the same as it was originally. I use vintage beads that are no longer made, for example, and I may not have any extras on hand and/or can't find them anywhere. Sometimes, after years of wear, links in chains stretch and get out of shape, a bit. (Don't we all?) ;) We will always strive to do the very best we can for you in cases like this and let you know the status of your piece every step of the way.
We can do custom and do welcome any ideas you may have. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
