A Passion For Color and Design
Welcome to Kaline Design. My passion for color, nature and design have led me on an exciting journey of discovery across two continents. From working as a painter in Moscow and now on the world wide web, I've never been able to stop creating.
My favourite art form is Traditional Indonesian batik, which I've learned in Bali. Because batik so often deals with the natural world, the exploration of nature through Sacred Geometry has been very important to me.
Color is an extremely important element in all of my artwork. Color is the filter through which we see the world, and a beautiful combination of color and design is a feast for the eyes and the soul. When I imagine a new color composition, I feel a pleasant thrill of impatience to realize the idea in my mind.
Every aspect of the natural world is an inspiration to me, though I'm particularly passionate about crystals, trees, flowering and decorative shaped plants. Their patterns, textures, and colors are a continual influence on my work.
In general I create my wall hangings on Rayon (It's a manufactured regenerated cellulose fibre). My scarves I do on silk.
What I most hope to accomplish with this shop is to help my customers create an energizing atmosphere in their home through interior design and home décor.
