The seller made a beautiful journal! It was inspired by the listing and I couldn't be happier! The colors she used are gorgeous and you can tell that she took the time to craft a quality product. I ordered this as a gift and I know they are going to love it. Wonderful customer service!

About

Kalona Creativity is all about being "UNIQUE"

I began my shop as a means to sell the works I have created, and to increase what I love to do most.. create One Of A Kind items. Repetition is my enemy.. I thrive with the challenges of designing and creating for someone else.
Although my background is in Visual Arts and photography, I began working with textiles when I was very young, and despite a detour through the arts this is where my exploration is firmly seated nowadays.
I have a home workspace, and a studio in town within the Gallery space I manage as part of a local artists guild. My Etsy shop allows me to reach a wider audience and I love the fact that so much of my work goes abroad to wonderful destinations.
Thankyou to all my far reaching friends/ customers!
I hope that my shop will grow into a thriving hub of creativity over the coming years... it's a big learning curve, but it's fun so far...
Watch this space.

From a very early age my dressmaker/teacher mum began to pass her skills on to me. At school I got a camera, began drawing and painting... and I've not looked back since. Creativity is my breath.. a day without designing/ making is suffocating...

Welcome to my little shop.
I have been creative since a very young age. Creativity is as integral to my life as breathing.
I do my utmost to use materials wisely and source materials from as ecologically friendly sources as possible.

My work is made to as high a standard as I would wish to receive from elsewhere. I use my own designs in all my work so you will not (should not) find similar elsewhere.
I love to work in different materials and disciplines so my work is as varied as my ideas.

I also work with crystals for healing and well-being and am a certified crystal practitioner. Rather than therapy sessions I prefer to help others by creating personalised jewellery and accessories as they have a longer beneficial action. I have a wide range of beads and crystals, but am happy to try and find more unusual crystals for your needs. If you tell me what you would like to resolve I can recommend/ create an item specific to your needs. They're not just pretty, they can work to help us!! Your discussion will be treated as confidential, as expected.

Enjoy your browsing, and if you should see something that you would like, but in different colours or size, please just ask- I'm happy to do commissions and special orders.
Thankyou for taking the time to read.

Payment
Payment will be via paypal or credit card.
On confirmation of payment, the item will be shipped, unless it is a custom order, in which case it will be shipped within the allotted time.

On higher value items I am offering an installment option. I will make a reserved listing for you and invoice for a 40% deposit, and make arrangements to invoice agreed amounts over a period to suit you. The item will be sent on completion of payment.

The deposit covers materials and is not refundable. Should you change your mind during the creation stage any money paid above the deposit will be refunded.

*
Other items that are being paid by installment have been specially set aside and delivered back to me from the retail outlet I supply. The first installment acts as a deposit.

If full payment is not made within the agreed time, there has been no further correspondence and no further extension has been agreed , the item will be relisted and sent back to shop at TWO weeks after the original completion date. This original deposit cannot be refunded as this covers immediate loss of sale, and postage costs to/from the retail outlet, plus any subsequent costs incurred for relisting etc
Shipping
Once payment has been confirmed the item will be shipped by First class mail.

Please be aware as of 30-06-2016. Items valued over 35 GBP will require recorded delivery upgrades. This has arisen to protect your unique purchase from wandering in a direction other than your front door. Sadly this has happened twice recently and seems to be becoming a trend in general. I appreciate this will put prices up, but given the time, energy and soul poured into each item, it pains me to lose an item en route as much as you not receiving your custom item will. On a plus, it will drastically reduce the shipping time as it is typically 5-7 days to the USA, instead of 21-28.

Standard proof of postage is always obtained, unless RECORDED/ INSURED POSTAGE is applied. There is a separate listing available for a SIGNED FOR upgrade, optional on items less than £35, this only adds the Royal mail fee for such a service and is added to the regular postal cost.

Once the item is within the postal system delivery is out of my control. Should it go missing in transit I will be happy to make a complaint and begin a claim for compensation, but until that is resolved I will not be able to resend an order.

Your item will be shipped in a secure, well-wrapped manner, according to the size and type of item. Details will be available for customs in case of problems.

I cannot be responsible for any customs restrictions for your country, so please make sure you are allowed to import the materials used. (eg, Australia doesn't allow feathers, wood, or other natural materials)
Refunds and Exchanges
I do not expect that you will be unhappy with your purchase as I am very accurate with the descriptions and you will know that what you have seen is what you will receive.

However, should you be unhappy- perhaps it was too small after all- then I would expect to be notified immediately upon receipt, whereby I will issue a return number.
Please send the item back unused/undamaged with the return number on the original packaging within 7 days. Postage will be at your own expense.
On receipt of the parcel in its original condition your payment will be refunded, minus the Etsy fee and original postage costs.

Refunds cannot be made on custom ordered items, as there is no guarantee that the item can be sold on. This is why I work with the customer and have contact throughout the whole process.

In the unlikely event that your item is damaged in transit please take a photo of the packaging and damage for a postal claim. Please let me know immediately then return the item to me and I will be happy to repair the damage and return it in its original perfect condition. Postage will be refunded once a postal claim is submitted.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am always delighted to create custom orders, be it a single piece, or a larger number of items. Discounts can be arranged for multiple purchases ordered at one time.
