I absolutely love your work and your use of opals. This particular ring is quite a statement piece for me--I have big hands and I love big rings. Exquisite craftsmanship.

About

Beautiful adornment and sacred treasures

I started my etsy shop in 2010 in order to expand my business and reach a larger audience. I also sell regularly at an artist market in Santa Fe as well as shops and galleries. I have been making jewelry professionally for myself and another since 1996. I love what I do and feel grateful everyday that I can make my work time as flexible as I need. I am also a certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and teach part time. I continue to evolve by learning new techniques and designing new pieces. I love that all the stones and metals I work with have their own healing qualities. I use my knowledge and love of ancient and ethnic cultures to design my jewelry with sacred symbols. Jewelry in ancient times was more than just adornment, it was also a way to show a person's wealth and stature. Jewelry was handed down as family treasures and also was meaningful as amulets and talismans. That is what I hope to achieve with my jewelry as well.

I love jewelry and have always been an artist. While in college I took 2 jewelry making classes and even though I graduated with a BA in Anthropology I decided to pursue jewelry making as a career.

I have been a jeweler since 1992, selling professionally since 1996. I have a BA in Anthropology and incorporate my interest in this subject to my designs. I love perusing books on ancient and ethnic jewelry, choosing pieces that I redesign to suit the contemporary woman or man. Through the use of symbols, stones and metals, all of the jewelry I make holds meaning and healing potential. In making a piece first I draw the design on paper to get a feel for what I want to create. Then I redraw it onto the metal and using a fine saw cut it out and solder it all together. Next in the process is sanding and buffing and setting of stones. If making a chain I first make all the links, solder them together, shape and form them before linking them together. I love making and wearing my jewelry knowing that the elements of the earth combined with symbols from the ancients can heal me. I currently sell my work at Barbara Bowles Fine Art in Santa Fe, Rancho Encantado a Four Seasons Resort in Tesuque, Wild Hare Salon In Santa Fe, Mira in Santa Fe, Mariposa Gallery in Albuquereque, and Blue Print Too in Tyler, TX. Every Saturday from March to December I sell at the Santa Fe Artist Market across from the Farmer's Market in the Railyard District. We are in our white tents from 8-1, please come visit if you are in town, I have so much more jewelry available than what is on my etsy site. I also participate in a few art shows a year including the Pojoaque River Art Tour which takes place every year the third weekend of September.

Shipping
All jewelry is made to order and may take up to a week to ship.

I ship all US orders via USPS priority which includes tracking and insurance up to $50.

All items are put in their own gift box or bag before being packaged.

International orders are sent through USPS first class and are registered (which means they are under lock and key the whole time) to ensure that it gets to you, please note there is no tracking for this service. For international orders you may have to pay a customs fee which is separate from the price of all of my items.

Please note that I cannot be responsible for lost packages, if you are worried about this please convo with me and we can talk about purchasing insurance.
Refunds and Exchanges
If for any reason you are not satisfied with an item other than rings, you may return it or exchange it within 7 days minus the 3.5% fee that etsy charges me on each transaction and if paying through credit card 3.5% that I am charged per transaction. Please note that rings cannot be returned, they are custom made to your ring size and so are harder to resell. The customer will pay shipping. However if an item breaks or falls apart due to flaws on my part I will repair it at my own cost within 1 month of purchase. If an item breaks due to "wear and tear" after 1 month of purchase, I will fix it at your cost.
