My work in clay is a meeting of hand, mind, and heart. I started making things from clay in college while working on my Art Education degree. I had always wanted to try the potter's wheel, and finally got the chance. That was (ahem) a long time ago! Making useful, artistic, items from clay became a lifelong challenge and addiction, and one that I love to share with my clients and customers.

I come from a "maker" family. We all build, draw, paint, sculpt, create music. I'm inspired by the material and it's endless construction possibilities. The simple turning of a potter's wheel, a world of its own, continues to amaze, but is only a starting point for my builds. My content includes abstract minimalist design, on the one hand, and references to healthy natural water environments on the other.
