Announcement    Welcome to Stained Glass Butterfly, a shop containing the unique fantasy works of award-winning artist Kat Hardy. I exhibit at about 50 fantasy and Sci-fi conventions a year, as well as several Chicago-area art fairs. If you can't get to a show where I exhibit my work, this is the place to be!

Definitely check out the Alchemy function, the "Request Custom Item" on the left side.
I've made many custom items through this function, and have had more sales of custom items than in the other areas of my shop combined!

Hello! Welcome to my fantasy shop. This is the best place to get all sorts of art pieces from me if you can't make it to one of my shows. I strive to create beautiful things and share those ideas with others, and I'm excited to reach out to new people who have never attended a convention.

    Returns and exchanges
I've been packing art for many shows for many years now, and I rarely have problems. Prints are matted and wrapped in cello bags for stability and moisture protection, further padded with bubble-wrap. Sculptural pieces are bubble-wrapped and tissue-paper wrapped and shipped in corrugated cardboard boxes. All-in-all, I haven't had any trouble with damaged goods.

I offer refunds or replacement for pieces damaged in transit, just return the item to me within 5 days of receipt (with the original packaging, please!) and let me know if you want a replacement or refund.

I cannot offer refunds on custom work, sorry! Please be sure you want the piece before purchasing-- neither of us wants to deal with return shipping!

*Just a note-- please be aware that colors and brightness can vary from one screen to another, colors may vary slightly on the actual piece.
    Payment
I accept Paypal or checks (US) or money orders (US or International). Orders will ship once payment is received and/or cleared. Please make payments within 3 days of purchase or contact me if there is a delay of any sort. Payments not received within 3 days with no contact will result in your order being cancelled and the item being relisted.

You can pay via credit card without having a Paypal account, just follow the instructions on the Paypal checkout page.

I will gladly handle sales tax for US orders, but International customers will be responsible for any customs, duties or taxes.
    Shipping
I use USPS First Class mail to ship most of my works, (I purchase insurance for shipping more fragile sculptural pieces). First Class for most prints takes about 3-5 business days for most of the US. Shipping costs vary with the weight of the item and/or destination.

I will ship your item within 3 days of receiving payment. If for any reason my ship date takes longer than 3 days after receiving payment, I will contact you and let you know as soon as possible and give you the option of canceling the order.

I will ship International using USPS First Class International mail. Rates vary by weight and destination. Contact me and we'll work it out!
    Additional policies and FAQs
I am happy to create custom work! My plush unicorns and ribbon fairies can be created in your favorite colors or themes, and sculpture pieces can be hand-painted to your requests, too! (I can even provide unpainted cast pieces for those of you wanting to paint your own!) Please contact me for any custom requests. I am able to provide scans of fabric samples for ponies and sketches for other custom work (like switchplates or paintings).

I will gladly consider any consignment offers, please let me know your ideas and let's see what we can make!
