A Queer Artist's Aesthetic Journey
¡Hola! Mi nombre es Kate, y soy una diseñadora gráfica queer.
Si bien el diseño gráfico siempre ha sido un pasatiempo mío, nunca consideré vender mi arte. Ni siquiera se me pasó por la cabeza que otros serían interesantes en comprar lo que hice.
Sin embargo, después de ver un flujo interminable de TikToks en mi FYP sobre consejos de estudio, planificadores universitarios y trucos de vida para el TDAH, descubrí que había un mercado para lo que tenía que hacer.
Como estudiante universitario con TDAH, los planificadores, las listas y la organización son clave para mantenerme al día con mis responsabilidades académicas y de otro tipo. Pero eso no significa que tenga que ser abrumador o aburrido. ¡Quiero hacer que la planificación sea divertida!
Desde que comencé con planificadores y listas de tareas pendientes, me he diversificado para diseñar otros productos populares: cuadernos, tazas, carteles, sudaderas, pantallas de inicio, herramientas de salud mental y más.

Hi there! My name's Kate, and I'm a queer graphic designer.
While graphic design has always been a hobby of mine, I never considered selling my art. It didn't even cross my mind that others would be interesting in purchasing what I made.
However, after seeing an endless stream of TikToks on my FYP about study tips, college planners, and ADHD life hacks, I discovered that there was a market for what I had to make.
As a college student with ADHD myself, planners and lists and organization are key to me keeping up on my academics and other responsibilities. But that doesn't mean it has to be overwhelming or boring. I want to make planning fun!
Since starting with planners and to-do lists, I've branched out to design other popular products: notebooks, mugs, posters, sweatshirts, home screens, mental health tools, and more.
