The cards arrived quickly, as promised, and were encased in a stiff envelope for protection. The quality of stock gave the cards an expensive feel and the beautifully finished liner added an elegant touch. A fine product. I gave one to my Mom, who is a friend of the artist & plan to use the other as a wedding card.
Hello! I am a self-taught Artist who loves variety and beauty. On my periodic walks, I collect small pieces that catch my eye...leaves, flowers, grasses as well as some flowers from my garden. Combining these with my watercolor paintings have given my paintings richer detail.
I have also used my current knowledge to teach a basic art class to some Homeschool students in our community. Teaching what I know has helped to sharpen my knowledge and skill...and has challenged me to grow.
Homeschooling my own children has been another area to challenge me to grow. It has been one of my greatest joys. I love having the opportunity to use my gifts to encourage my children and others, as well.
I have always made special cards for friends and family members and thought maybe I would sell cards someday. More serious thought came as I was making some special cards for a dear friend who would come over every Sunday after church and instruct my two High School students in Chemistry and Physics. It meant so much to me that she would take time out from her busy week to bless us. So I wanted to give her something that I had to put time into, something that had a bit of "me" in it. That was the beginnings of KateXpressions!
All of my card designs are original art designs and have been inspired by my life and home.

All designing and construction is done by me! I like working in watercolor, pressed flowers and leaves and hand embossing with a light table and stylus. I also enjoy pen and ink and color pencil. You will find a little bit of each of these here!
When I make a purchase I want it to be worth the money that I pay for it. So I take the time to make each item something I would buy for myself.
I create and construct every handmade item in the shop. The items that you find that are not handmade, are still assembled and shipped with great care.

I accept all of the major credit cards listed in my shop or you can use your PayPal account to make your purchases. I will not see your credit card numbers or information. I will only receive your shipping address so I can process your order. Payment is expected at the time of the transaction.
Personal Checks and Money Orders:
I will accept personal checks and money orders but the checks must clear my bank before I can ship your order. The only exceptions are from customers that I know personally or already have an established relationship with.
I do collect sales tax on your order if it is applicable and it will be shown on your receipt.

I take extra care to package up each item so that it will arrive to you without any damage. However, If you do receive a damaged item, please see the instructions in my "Refund Policy" section, below.
Each individual card with it's own envelope, is placed into a clear, sealed sleeve to keep them neat and clean until you are ready to use them. These in turn, are wrapped in tissue paper and placed inside a self-sealing, bubble, or stiff cardboard mailer.
Prints are placed in a plastic sleeve, sandwiched between cardboard, wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a mailer.
I ship orders via US Postal Service within three business days of receiving your order. You may request an upgrade for shipping. Just let me know when you make your order that you need it sooner. I try to keep the shipping cost as low as I can.
You will receive an email notice when your order has shipped.
If you are purchasing a gift and would like it sent to the gift recipient, please include his or her address in the "Note for KateXpressions" box at checkout and I'd be happy to send it for you!
I will also wrap your item and include a short message from you, so be sure to let me know what you would like to say!
If you wish to make a purchase for yourself AND you're buying a gift for someone else that you want SENT TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS, you will have to make two separate transactions.

Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not satisfied with your purchase please return the item within 10 days of receipt in the original packaging for a full refund. If the item is returned but it is soiled or ripped, you will not receive the full refund, you will only receive half.
If you wish to make an exchange, you may return your purchased item within 10 days of receipt and will be responsible for the return shipping cost. I will send out the exchange after receiving your returned item. Please be sure to contact me before returning an item so that I will looking for it. Thank you for kindly considering this.
Damaged or lost items:
If you receive an item and it is damaged, please take a picture of it and send it to me immediately. I will do what I can to send out a replacement, if I have one or refund your money. If your package doesn't arrive be sure to let me know. I will try to track it down for you. If I can't track it down, I will refund your money.
