Welcome to Kathryn Brooke! This is how it all started... I was a working professional up until the day my first child was born. It was not an easy transition to go from someone that worked from a very early age to being at home, only conversing with an infant all day long...! I went on to have two more children and got busier with all that entailed and didn't have time to think about working. I learned how to sew when my middle child was a year old. I went to about four sessions with a local seamstress and learned the very basics. But I was hooked...! I became addicted to fabrics and making anything I could think of. I used my kids' playroom as my sewing room. I borrowed an aunt's sewing machine and sewed in any free time I had...which was usually from 6pm until midnight. My husband, who always knows the right thing to buy me, surprised me with my own machine for Christmas. When my youngest was two years old, I had this crazy idea to start my own business making handbags and accessories. I started doing home parties at local homes. I had no idea how to run a business but knew I had a product that people would like. And it worked that way for a while but the kids' schedules took over and I took a break. But now I am back!!! I sell items in a few local stores and I post on my social media and get lots of CUSTOM orders. My next step is to sell to stores throughout the country! I am passionate about what I do. I am proud of what I have accomplished. And I hope that my children see that if you put your mind to something, work hard and love what you do, you can do anything! I hope you love what I have to offer! Kathryn
